The price was right for RAGBRAI riders

Cons: Poor breakfast
Breakfast was not the best- they didn't tell us on check in they would start early for riders so by the time we ate at 6:30 the eggs were green. Donuts from a bag of mini donuts is not what normally see at a hotel for choices .

Best Hotel in Cedar Rapids

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
The staff friendly and helpful, wonderful breakfast hashbrowns, sausage, eggs, pancakes and waffles, plus donuts, fruit, and cereal. Good size and clean rooms. Best value you could possibly find.

Not so friendly service

I recently had a group of us staying at this hotel and we did not receive very good service from the owner of this hotel. We booked four rooms through Travelosity and we were harassed by the owner (who is always at the front desk) to pay him more for the rooms. He thought that we had too many people in a couple of rooms and he wanted more money from us. We felt like we were being watched the entire weekend. The rooms are nothing special. I will be staying somewhere else next time. The pillows were also very flat and uncomfortable.

Nothing Special

This was a pretty standard hotel. Some rooms have been updated, but the rest of them need it. The shower head was too low, the toilet seat squeaked, and the bathroom door locked automatically when opened.

Satisfied Customer

Room was clean, service was great, price reasonable, you should try and call the place before booking online, travel website is more expensive than there regular rate. would definitely stay again!!!

Beware it is BAD

Dirty sheets, floors, and electrical outlets, hair dry and coffee maker did not work. Worst place ever....BEWARE.

Meh....

The hotel was clean, but that is about all it had going for it. The beds were unusually low to the ground, and everything looked kind of run down. The heat lamp in the bathroom was a plus. I probably would not stay here again, I'd be willing to drive a bit of a ways to have more comfortable rooms. If you want a bare-minimum, bare-bones room for inexpensive, this is the place for you.

TRAVELER BEWARE

Staff knocks doors at 8 a.m. to roust customers, was advised by 2 employees that they were told to do so. (Allows them to clear the rooms for housekeeping to get linens and get done quicker) Also, was told one rate at check-in, was charged higher at checkout and told audit had been done, not much they could do. If you stay there, please post your experience here as well.
