This Inn was conveniently located if visiting the Killington area, but needs a bit of updating. There was an amazing fireplace in the center of the building, but we were disappointed that it was never actively lit during our stay. The room was clean and the game rooms downstairs were fun, but again everything was very outdated. Great for larger groups of people or stays where you don't plan on spending a lot of time inside the Inn.

My buddy and I stayed at this inn and the first thing we noticed was that it smelt like a damp basement when we first walked in. No one at the front desk, we had to call for an attendant. Once we got a room we were settling in and noticed there was two dirty thongs poking out from under the bed. We could not get another room because the inn was fully booked. They advertised an indoor pool but was closed due to the inn supposed to be closed last season for construction making it into an assisted living home but was still open for business during construction. After all this went on we both took separate showers before bed and nearly fell due to no floor mats and large slits in the shower curtain allowing water to flow out onto the floor. They only supplied us with towels to clean up the water and did not care about the safety hazard that was current. BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE, at 2 in the morning we both woke up to nearly having heat stroke from the room going to 83 degrees on its own. we had to run and open the outside door to cool the room down and i was dry heaving for an hour due to the heat. we shut the heat off and was able to get back to sleep two hours later then woke up to the heat turning on by itself. We went to check out we had a construction worker help us and checked us out and we wanted to speak to the manager. We got his phone number and left a message about the awful stay. He later blocked my phone number and never returned the call. Stay far away!!!!

Very disappointed

When viewing the resort site, the reasons I booked there, outdoor pool on site spa on site dining. Outdoor pool-No On site spa- yes but reserved and unavailable to guest On site dining-No reserved for conference I would not have booked there if I had known nothing on site was available to me. I wanted a site with everything there to check in and enjoy. They need to update web site, and state to call ahead for availability. Very disappointed and feel I was over charged for thing I could not use.

NO management. Hope you don't have any issues.

Pros: nothing
Cons: Customer service, explanation of charges, not accusing guest of things they didn't partake in.
Location: ski
e Cortina Inn My first time to Killington and it was my 30th birthday gift. 1Hotel smells terrible. Breakfast was not very good, and almost fell a few times on the greasy floor they obviously don’t clean. The staff told me they were sitting outside of my room in the middle of the night listening to my conversations. They accused me of smoking in my room because they said they found ashes in the room. Put have not pics. 7When I called to ask them why they charged me a 250$ smoking charge they then told me the they heard us talking at 2am about us saying allegedly “screw the hotel, we are smoking in the bed”… while they were listening to us at the door. ( we don’t smoke )!!!!- Now they are telling me the room had an odor of smoke. We were instructed to smoke on the balcony by the manager if we were smokers. 9The guest directly across the way from us were out of control!. Harassed us at all hours of the night and were smoking cigarettes and weed in their room, through food at our door and into our room when we opened our door to see what was going on they tossed pickled and food into our hotel rooms.

Nice updated hotel in Killington/Mendon

Pros: Breakfast, updated rooms, staff, main areas, and that it accepts dogs.
Cons: Fitness center needs a TV
Location: Skiing
This was a very nice hotel, with a pretty diverse breakfast, updated rooms (by Killington standards), cozy main area atmosphere and pleasant staff. We actually wanted to rebook for the next stay, which is a rare occurrence for us.

Desperately Needs Updating

My husband and I recently stayed at The Cortina Inn he grew up near Kilington and wanted to revisit the area. The hotel has large rooms, clean beds and some nice exposed brick walls. It has old gas fireplaces in some of the rooms as well. I'm sure it was very nice in it's day...sometime in the 70's. It is now very dark and the carpeting and furnishings are old and outdated in appearance. The AC smelled musty and the porch from our room appeared to have some form of roofing paper as it's floor surface. Really too bad, with some cosmetic work this could be a very nice place to stay in a great location..

Our trip to Vermont

We spent one night at the Cortina Inn and Conference Center. The last time we visited there was about 10 years ago and it was an elegant and thriving Resort. It was not the same and we learned why. The whole area is struggling to make a go of things and do not have the money to make repairs and upgrades. On our last trip the Cortina Inn was a bustling place with the best Sunday Brunch in the Killington Area. Now the dining room isn't even open to the public or the guests. Our stay was fine and we ate else where but I was disappointed in the lack of tourism in the whole area. I hope it can be built back up again. Killington has opened a new summer fun area with several updated rides and experiences, we sure hope this helps to restore the business to the area hotels as well as to the mountain itself.
