Nice and clean. The whole hotel seems to be either new or recently remodeled. Facilities are nice and clean.

Stay away from this property! We could not sleep because of banging pipes in the walls. Shoddy construction and even worse shoddy inspection. I like this hotel chain because they allow pets. Concerns to front desk met with a very slight discount. I didn't sleep because of the noise.

Home during snowmeggedon

Pros: The friendly staff was the best
Cons: maybe another coffee carafe with stronger coffee in it
Location: Kmart, La Carretta (Mexican), McDonalds, Bob Evans, Subway, Little Ceasars pizza (in Kmart), Krogers, 2 gas stations, a library all walking distance.
Our stay at the La Quinta Inn in Elkview was almost as good as it could be being stuck in a hotel. It was clean and nicely furnished, the hotel staff was friendly and helpful. No Bed bugs!!! The only thing we didn't like was the lack of strong coffee. My wife only likes strong coffee and to be starbucks coffee it was weak. But overall a good experience during a bad time.

Not as good as past years

Pros: Mostly, it's convenient when we visit family nearby.
Cons: Listen, I love pets ... but not in a hotel.
Location: K-Mart right next door! And Bob Evans!
First, the pool was out of order. No mention of this on the website or anywhere else - this likely would have led us somewhere else has we known beforehand (so ... maybe it's good marketing on their part to NOT mention it on the website ...) because our kids love to swim. Second, this is a "pet friendly" hotel. We were unlucky enough to have a yapper next door, and, bless its little doggie heart, it yapped away. We've stayed here a number of times while visiting family during various holidays. It's not a bad hotel - clean, friend staff, good breakfast, etc. But it's also the only game in town if you're looking for name brand and somewhere close to family.
