The location is excellent if you are going to the Belk Theater. We had to pay for parking which is behind the hotel. Lobby was nice at first impression. On second glance, everything looked old and worn out. Some floors undergoing renovation so there was a “construction” smell in the hallways. The room furniture was wood and very worn with chips and water stains on nightables but otherwise clean. The mattress and pillows super comfortable. The elevator had wood panels which were scraped and chipped. Workman were using the one out of two working elevators as a construction elevator. Hotel lists free breakfast but we found out after eating breakfast that the “allowance” was for $12.99 only. It will be nice was renovation done but was disappointing now.
