How to get through airport security fast when traveling to Dubai
These useful tips and pointers about airport security checks will save you plenty of time on your journey to Dubai:

  • Make sure you know the whereabouts of your boarding pass and passport. You don’t want to hold up the queue when you’re asked to produce them.
  • It’s important to know that belts with metal buckles can set off the body scanner’s alarms. If you’re wearing one, you may be told to step back and remove it before moving forward.
  • All laptops must be taken out of their carry bags and placed in a tray before being scanned.
  • Traveling with a favorite cologne? As long as it contains no more than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) and it’s placed in a clear resealable plastic bag, you can keep it with you in your carry-on luggage.
  • Airport security staff may ask you to remove your shoes prior to entering the body scanner. Wear a pair that you can slip off easily. There’s nothing more tiresome than having to do up your laces over and over again.
  • The list of prohibited items is forever updating. Check with your carrier’s official website to understand what is not allowed on board their aircraft.

How to find cheap flights

What is the best day to buy a plane ticket?

Airfares offered on Friday tend to be the cheapest, according to flight demand on Travelocity.ca in 2021. Purchasing your airfares on a Thursday or Saturday can also provide better value, however our advice if you’re looking to save money is to avoid booking on a Wednesday or Sunday. Our data shows that those two days have the highest ticket values on average, so keep this in mind if you’re browsing flight deals.

What are the cheapest days to fly?

Frequent travellers may already know this, earlier in the week is often the cheapest time to fly. Flights departing on a Monday are the cheapest of the week. Since flights towards the middle of the week tend to be more popular, this causes the prices to rise. This is why, on average, airfares booked on Travelocity.ca in 2021 were most expensive for Wednesday departures.

How far in advance can you book a flight?

Here’s the deal: It is typically possible to start comparing international airfares on Travelocity.ca up to 12 months in advance. However, it does depend on the carrier as not all airlines release their prices that far out. According to our 2021 flight demand trends, last minute planners can still bag a bargain with some of the cheapest fares appearing 2-4 weeks prior to their travel dates.

*According to flight demand on Travelocity.ca from January to December 2021. Savings are subject to change and may vary depending on selections made.

Flights To Dubai

It’s rare you find yourself in a place this opulent. Despite your grandeur and taste for the finer things in life, it’s hard to compete with the attractions in the City of Gold. Standing atop the world’s tallest building, you survey the bewitching landscape. In one direction, the glisten of water and the sun bouncing off skyscrapers, landing in the ether. In another direction, sweeping sand dunes as far as the eye can see. In between it all, the largest indoor theme park in the world and world-class shopping venues beckon you to stop by and have your breath taken away. You’re in Dubai, where luxury lives around every corner and the city is always looking for ways to impress you.

The only thing between you and a life of luxury is one of our Dubai flights. Use Travelocity to plan your vacation today, and getting pampered into a state of bliss is in your future.

Flights to DXB

Flights to Dubai land at Dubai Intl. Airport (DXB), which is in Al Garhoud. The airport sees more than 6,000 flights every week, and it’s easy to get from the world-class terminals to your hotel. You can order a taxi ahead of time, or simply flag down a cab as you’re exiting the airport. Dubai cabs are cream, and cars with a pink trim have female drivers, pursuant to local culture. You can also hop on a metro train from Terminals 1 and 3, which deliver you to stations throughout the city. The two train lines also have stops where you can grab a connecting bus or cab if you choose. When you want Greater Dubai to be at your disposal, rent a car while you’re booking Dubai plane tickets and explore UAE on your own schedule.
