Flight Review

Dec 8, 2019

Every Aegean flight I've taken has been delayed. The lack of punctuality is incredible.

Smart Wings charges for baggage and limits carry on bags to 8kg. Also charges for all beverages on board including soft drinks

Only problem was I tried to use my Visa credit card on board for drinks and their WiFi didn’t work - later it caused Wells Fargo to suspend my password thinking that it was being hacked.

Jul 10, 2018

Staff went out of their way to get us in this flight. We had 20 mins to this connection and they arranged for staff to meet us on the tarmac when we deplaned and drove us to this flight to get us on board. Amazing.

Called Iberia and Travelocity before vacation to request a wheelchair, no one at the airport knew of this request. Disappointed in that!

How to get through airport security fast when traveling to Dubrovnik

Your trip to Dubrovnik kicks off as soon as you've finished all the security checks. Here are some hints and tips to make sure you get through quickly:

  • Have your boarding pass and travel ID easily accessible. They'll be the first things you'll be asked to produce by airport security staff.
  • It's important to know that metal belt buckles can set off the body scanner's alarms. If you're wearing one, you may be told to remove it before continuing.
  • All laptops must be taken out of their cases and placed in a tub before going through the X-ray machine.
  • Lip balm, toothpaste and other toiletry items in cream, liquid or gel form need to be stored in containers no larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters). They also need to fit in a 1-quart (1-liter) clear resealable bag.
  • Safety boots and other cumbersome shoes are most often X-rayed at the security checkpoint. We suggest wearing lightweight sneakers instead.
  • Stash any multi-tools or other pointy items inside your checked luggage. Security won't permit these in carry-on baggage.
