How to get through airport security fast when traveling to Valletta

Make your trip to Valletta that little bit easier by following these helpful tips and pointers:

  • Have your passport and boarding pass within easy reach. They'll be the first things you'll be told to produce by airport security personnel.
  • Bear in mind that metal belt buckles can set off the body scanner's alarms. If you're wearing one, you may be asked to step back and remove it before moving forward.
  • Make sure your laptop and electronic devices are within reach. These items need to be sent through the X-ray machine in separate trays.
  • When you get to the security checkpoint, you'll be asked to put all liquids, gels and creams in a separate bin for scanning. Make sure they're all packed in containers no larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) and sealed in a clear zip-lock bag.
  • The airport security may instruct you to take off your shoes in preparation for entering the body scanner. Pick a pair that slip off easily. There's nothing more irritating than having to do up your laces over and over again.
  • The list of prohibited items is forever updating. Browse your airline's official website to understand what is not allowed on board their aircraft.
