Quaint; fairly old building............... quiet, was close to dining and walkable shopping..............town closes up quite early and the Tavern within the Lodge was not open!!

Beautiful setting makes up for the lack of modern amenities. Definitely a “lodge” appearance inside and out. Rooms are a bit run down, but a do-able stop for a night.

Was not what was shown on advertising photos … older but the cleaning staff did an ok job. The update was done to a restaurant that was added to hotel. Really disappointed ☹️

Surprisingly Wonderful

Location: Visiting Western Carolina Univ and found it was easy to drive the 25 minutes to get there while also having places to pick up breakfast on the way.
We found this lodge to be super-cozy! Five of us stayed in an over-sized room that included a full-sized table and a working fireplace. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was well stocked, and the hotel staff worked with us ahead of time to arrange for our late arrival. The only downside was that there was no working Wifi, however, we would definitely stay at Smoky Falls Lodge again if we are in the area.
