Arrived later for check-in, although during check-in time, and was given a room with stained and ripped carpet and a broken bathroom door. Hotel staff informed me that this was the only room available or I would have to stay at another location (which would have been an inconvenience).

Hotel in a decent neighborhood, easy to walk to get food. Pool was small and not appealing. Breakfast was edible since we were starving but, not enough dishes and we should not have to ask the staff to refill the eggs, etc. We chose this hotel because we were going to the museum of science and industry and it was only a mile away..next time we will stay somewhere else.

This hotel was amazing!

I can not express in words how great this hotel is. It is in the middle of wonderful Hyde Park, the staff for top notch and the rooms are great! We are already booking another "staycation" in 2 weeks!

The Hyatt Place hotel and staff were great!

Pros: Large, comfortable and clean rooms. Friendly staff. Great location.
Cons: Need more non-valet parking.
Location: Plenty of restaurants, shops and a movie theater very close by. Totally walk-able area.
The hotel, hotel staff and hotel location were excellent! We will definitely stay here again. The only issue was parking, but that is an issue all over the entire city of Chicago. The rooms were large, comfortable and clean. Every staff person we came in contact with was friendly and helpful. The Hyde Park location was the best! Plenty of restaurants, shops and a movie theater very close by. Totally walk-able area. We loved it!
