Our AC did not work the first night, thought this was due to the heat wave and when we got back to our room it was 86°. Had to call twice to get it looked at. Only received the destination fee removed.

The location and the view from our room is amazing...better than we expected! The staff were all very friendly, offering help and information without asking. Overall, it was a wonderful experience staying at this location. We'll definitely come back the next time we are in Chicago.

The parking on this property is a literal joke. It makes absolutely no sense. It is not on site, it’s self park on a different city block. The directions the staff is giving out to hand to guests is absolute trash and makes no sense. The staff themselves barely had any idea where this parking structure is. Overall a joke experience

I was in town for the marathon. After staying with friends for a couple of days, I wanted to do my own thing and stayed at the Royal Sonesta. I wish I stayed longer than one night because the hotel was great. I showed up a few hours before check in, and I was going to see if they could store my luggage while I walked around. Instead, they checked me in early. The room was gorgeous, staff was courteous, the lobby was beautiful, location was great. Next time I am in Chicago I know where I am staying.

Gotta cut some slack for the Covid situation. It will be better when room service returns. Also, the window that is supposed to open is bolted shut. Views on the river side are astounding. Ice machines only on even floors sux. Great location.

Checked us in to the room that had a very faulty mold smell because we are black and Asian couple. Move us to a different room but after 2 days my husband flipped the pillows and saw the pillow case had mold stained on it! Spoke to the front desk personnel and pretended she was a manager! Then told Mark the manager will call me! Waited all day! Then asked if Mark tried to call me! Then the front desk lady lied and said, Mark the manager called and spoke to me! I said no one called me at all! We felt like not being treated fairly there!! No one told us either that no one change sheets and cleans room everyday anymore! I requested a riverview side but the lady said nothing available anymore! But then after 3 hours someone just checked in by the riverview side!! Unhappy for how we were treated!

The location is fantastic! Comfy bed. Ok sized room. However, here are a few things you should know before booking: -The walls are paper thin. So you better pray you don't have loud neighbors. We did, unfortunately... -Water pressure was terrible. They should invest in replacing their shower heads. -No room service in between days. We stayed for 3 nights and were expecting someone to come in and bring new towels, etc. Never happened.
