Booked weeks in advance for 8 days. Received a rude phone call as we were about to board for our flight. Angry, rude person saying "no rooms" over and over in response to every question I asked. Last thing said, "You have problem - you call booker!"
Called Travelocity. Got person with accent so heavy could barely communicate. After on hold, finally came back to say she spoke with hotel. No Rooms. Sorry. Can't help at all. Please visit site to choose another hotel.
Tried calling hotel again - they just let the phone ring for over 20 rings before I finally hung up to board the plane.
Insulting and no help at all. Worse, for the rest of our trip Travelocity kept sending e-mails asking me to review the hotel experience. Only choices were "satisfied" or "not satisfied." No response at all after.
Just arrived home yesterday. Received this link to a real survey and here I am. They STILL want to know how my hotel experience was at this hotel. No idea at all that we even had problems.
TIP: Read the small print on any/every booking site. They'll admit (in tiny, semi-hidden type) that they take ZERO responsibility. So why book through them?

This hotel is old and musty. Rooms are outdated, front desk staff is indifferent and the so called continental breakfast is a joke!

Nice hotel in need of serious update.
Pros:History. I stayed there several years ago when it was the only hotel in Clewiston. Very Nice back then.
Cons:Clean the carpets in rooms and refinish furniture.
Location:Don't know. I was stopping by on my way to Miami. I like to travel the scenic routes.
Carpet needed cleaning, furnature in need of refinishing, and musky smell to room. Hotel staff very pleasant. Hotel lobby nice, but rooms really need updating.

Historically beuatiful but very UNKEPT
Pros:We used to like the service (amercian lady at front desk clerk we got this time, hindu type) which race does not matter but attitude was bad.
Cons:Everything, they need a ramp for handicapped (walkers and disabilities people), better customer service & attitude and offer solutions to problems.
Location:lots of naturalistic things and the most part hotel is quaint antique and beautiful but wow horrible service, everything closes early though great
We usually travel with our elder, walker using mother in law and the gave us little like apt. types int he back the last two times we stayed this time the clerk said they were double what the regular room costs which we could barely get the 87 year old in worse yet she had to climb 8 steps with a walker and holding her because they offer no other alternative, DEFINITELY "NOT" handicapped FRIENDLY or practical for citizens with walking disabilities.
