About this property

Magic Forest Farm's Mountain View Suite

Our 225 acre farm is predominantly forested, with miles of hiking trails and incredible views. Nestled in the foothills of the Catskills near Albany, we are the last home on a dead end road and have multiple secluded rentals. We are a homestead devoted to the principles of organic farming and self reliance. We grow much of our own food and forge many types of wild mushrooms. You will be sure to enjoy friendly animals around the farm and a private fenced Koi pond.

The space
The apartment is a hand crafted work of art. From the granite floors to the elaborate wooden bed and hand sculpted kitchen, you will be sure to enjoy its unique nature. Luxurious sheets and a memory foam mattress will lull you to sleep! It is a basement apartment, but has an incredible view.

Guest access
Private basement and large fenced in area with waterfall and Koi pond. Also have access to entire 200 acre farm and can meet goats, chickens , ducks, peacocks, donkeys, a horse and friendly dogs. Many miles of hiking trails to explore as well!

Other things to note
There is no longer a wood stove available due to chimney problems. The kitchen range is electric and
works fine!

Exceeded expectations!
I'm 78 traveling with my smooth fox terrier. His first to a farm. When I spotted a peacock near the suite I knew we made the best choice. Slade was very interested in everything. Watched the animals feeding, tried to enter under the pasture fence to join donkey and horse and chased chickens! Trails were great. Near encounter with a porcupine. Stopped for a rest at the stage enjoying a distant view on a summer like day.Window open with the sound ofwater tumbling over rocks....ZZZ. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to gather enough scratch together for an autumn visit. I made a reservation mistake I was frantic over. Jason solved the problem for me. The word energy is overused but I had a definite feeling of calmness at the farm. Oh, be careful of the robins nest behind the second sign from the top of the welcome world greetings.
