Absolutely do not stay here. The floors were so dirty my 2 year olds feet were black as asphalt after not even 15 mins there. Then they refused a refund. DO NOT use Travelocity to book either. They have been zero help even after I purchased the insurance. Stay at the Comfort Inn.

This property looks pretty dumpy but I was pleasantly surprised by the stay. The night manager was incredibly nice and polite and assured me he would be on watch to make sure everything was kept safe and quiet. And it was. The room was very basic but was clean and they obviously care about maintaining it. If you just need a place to sleep, it's decent. If you want luxury and amenities, this is not your place.

For the price, this place was exactly what I expected. I paid $70 for one night, two beds. The room and bathroom was clean. The staff was nice and helpful. They also took your car information which made me feel good that they were monitoring who was coming in and out throughout the night. The room was partially remodeled and was comfortable for my sister and I. One thing that I did not like was that you could hear everything people around you were doing. I was woken up several times throughout the night by other guests being extremely loud and inconsiderate to other guests. We could hear the couple in the room next to us, the family, below us, and the people outside. I know the people outside we're not the hotels fault, which is why I was not very upset about it. For the price, it was a nice hotel for a quick stay.

SPUR OF MOMENT VACAY

Pros: room was great , staff was great
Cons: outside made me nervous because of homeless across street, but nothing you can do about that !
Location: pretty central location to get to attractions
decided to take a spur of moment trip, looked at hotels/prices, etc on the way to Colorado Springs. This one was one of the cheaper ones I came across. Motel was shady looking with the homeless population across the street, but desk attendant said it was safe. I was dreading what the room might look like but- I WAS VERY PLEASANTLY SURPRISED ! Room was excellent, clean, staff was outstanding. don't let the outside/area scare you away !

It was a terrible experience

Pros: Nothing really.
Cons: The owner's and staff's concern for the safety of the customers and at very least, disclosure that there may be any hazardous conditions in the room.
Location: There was a few good restaurants in the area such as Carraba's Italian and Edelwiess German restaurants, which were located nearby.
Coming into Colorado Springs for business, we reserved a room at Howard Johnson hotel, expecting good service and accommodations, which, unfortunately, we did not find. The first night we spent there was noisy and the bed was uncomfortable. things got worse from there when the next morning, as I was reaching into the upper cabinet of the closet, for the iron, I came very close to cutting my hand on a large piece of broken glass and a piece of wood with nails sticking out. When we went to the front desk person to complain about the hazardous conditions, the clerk seemed to make excuses by telling us that he didn't know about the glass and that it may have been left there by maintenance workers who had been doing some reparations to some of the rooms. He also informed us that his boss would not reimburse us for the room cost because we were leaving the hotel early. I told him that if I, or some other customer had cut ourselves on that glass, his boss would have had to pay much more that just our room cost. His response to this was an offer to get us another room or to have his room staff clean the room and remove the glass if we chose to stay in the same room. I found it quite off putting that this clerk, or his boss, showed total disregard for the safety of the persons who paid to stay at this hotel. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a place to stay while in Colorado Springs.
