that ran behind the bed to the other side of the bed. And instead of drilling a hole and the wire going through it they pulled the the carpet off the wall and ran it behind and under the carpet would not avoid the place at all cost...

I apologize that the internet was down. The provider Mediacom was down in the whole region for 2 hours.

The tub was dirty in the first room they gave us with hair and dirt all in it and the second room had a oder window didn't lock and pool had way to much chlorine eyes was buying just from smell staff was not friendly at. All I think I deserve a free stay somewhere else I booked that room for my birthday and was disappointed

Never again

The Hotel itaelf is in a wonderful spot right off of I70. Waited 20+ minutes to check in, not necessarily the desk staffs fault but aggravating non the less. While I was checking in a Lady you had been in front of the line during my 20+ wait was back to say how her room hasn't been cleaned. Got to our room, was happy about where in the Hotel it was located. Upon inspection of the room discovered the window didn't lock (we were on the ground floor), the furniture overall was all in poor condition, holes in the blankets, no clock?!, and there was black mold on the shower tiles and corner of tub. I traveled with my children whom 2 are under 1, after letting them crawl around their knees and tops of feet were black. Disgusting. Also had to constantly grab stuff from them they were finding on the floor. Never again.

I expected more from Days Inn

Pros: Nothing

Location: The location was OK. I don't know about things to do. We were in town to go to a family funeral and visit with family.
The first thing I noticed when entering the room was the drapes. Hooks were apparently missing so they sagged on one side. This has been the case in many motels we have visited. I have always wondered what is so hard about replacing a drapery hook. The microwave was dirty....needed washed down inside and out. The bottom edges of the mattresses were hanging loose. After walking around on the carpet in white socks, they were a dirty brown. We tried to use the soda machine with several combinations of coins and it didn't work. We told the front desk and they said it was out of order and you had to get sodas there at the desk. We left the motel to go to a family funeral at 12:30 and returned about 6:00. Our room hadn't been touched. I asked the front desk if they cleaned every day and the gentleman said yes but they were short-handed. I told him just to send down clean towels and forget the rest. When the cleaning lady came she said she was trying to do cleaning and laundry that day because the laundry person had been fired and the other cleaning lady had called in sick. We weren't very happy with our stay.

It was better than staying in the car

While the pictures online looked lovely the hotel is horribly run down filthy and rooms are over priced. The pool area floor was filthy, hot tub didn't work, and the towels they supplied in pool area smelled horrible and were stained. They were fully booked for the Show Me State games and very understaffed. Room was still not cleaned on the second day at 7pm when we were leaving for our last game so I asked the gentleman trying to clean rooms to just leave ours alone. The breakfast area was so small we could barely get to much of it but the muffins we were able to grab were really stale and nasty and the eggs was like prison food. We had to grab breakfast at the gas station down the street. Our room smelled musty, fridge barely worked light bulbs were burnt out of 2 lamps, remote to tv didnt work and our covers and sinks were full of cigarette burns. The outside door at one time needed cards to get in, but they no longer worked and anyone could walk in at any time. The only bright part was the lovely ft desk lady that checked us in, she was awesome, friendly and extremely helpful and she should find a better hotel to work for where her talents could be utilized fully. The poor lady trying to do the food, cover ft desk was trying to get a non motivated cleaning guy to help and he was not having it. We felt bad for her, she looked like she was going to have a mental breakdown. We would NEVER stay here again, Days Inn Corporate I think would be shocked.

Good inexpensive motel

Pros: Clean, friendly, inexpensive.
Cons: For the price, nothing.
Location: This motel is on the 70 business loop with plenty of restaurants close. 7 minutes from UMC campus.
This Days Inn in Columbia, MO, is typical of less expensive motels in that it is an older remodeled facility. That said, the rooms were clean and comfortable, the front desk staff was polite, friendly and attentive to our needs. The breakfast was not any different than other more expensive motels. Didn't try the pool, so can't comment on that. WiFi worked just great. I would go back.
