Awful stay

The staff had to break down the door to get us in. Then the staff said I could not get my money back so I felt I had to stay because I didn’t have money for a second hotel. Don’t stay here

The worst hotel ever (but two terrific employees)

Pros: Two of the front desk staff were so amazing - Pam and Brandon. They did everything they could to help us get into the room.
Cons: An entirely new management staff.
The room key card reader never worked the entire time we were there. Requested a different room immediately upon arrival, but were told the hotel was full. Had to get the front desk to let us in with a physical key every time we came and went. On the second night I had to wait an hour at 11pm at night, with an outdoor temp of 32 degrees (in Florida), to be given access to my room because the manager had left the property with the master key, and was refusing to come back. He, and the general manager, whom I called at home, both said that I could just wait. I asked the front desk if they could get the housekeeping master key to let me in. The head of housekeeping (also front desk worker), was off the property with Manager. I called the sheriff's dept. They agreed to send a deputy to see if they help. After multiple phone calls and texts to the Manager, he and the head of housekeeping finally returned to the property. She pretended that the key had been there the entire time (NOT!!). After letting me into the room, she stated that she would give me full refund. We went back to the front desk, I watched her tapping away at the computer to give me a zero balance. She said it would be effective when I checked out. The next morning, my folio was not at zero. The night clerk (superhero) didn't check me out, so that the charge wouldn't post. I had a feeling that the manager would put the charge through, and he did 3 days after I left, which I have disputed.

Right on the highway, easy to find.

Location: We were looking for location after Homosassa as we were traveling to Dunellon next day.
My only negative would be a restaurant, had to travel back the way we came to find a place to east.
