Don’t be fooled by pictures. Do yourself a huge favor. Spend a little more on your room at another hotel, this property will disappoint you. This hotel is located immediately across from a railroad track that operates all day and all night long. There are complimentary ear plugs on the night stand it’s so bad. You can hear your neighbors normal conversations as well as every other noise in the hallway as well as people talking down on the street or dogs barking etc. All of the pictures that make this property appear to be nice are of their more updated areas and not a true reflection of the room you will be staying in. The over all smell of the hotel is awful, a mixture of food, must, and cigarettes-even someone smoking pot somewhere on our floor. Only one staff member at night leaving customers waiting inside for check in and a phone ringing off the hook while they get their cigarette break in. The room was clean although very dated (especially bathroom tub and toilet) I will say staff was nice and gave us extra pillows and answered questions about the area and Uber (non-existent) We absolutely will never stay in this hotel again.

We got to the Ramada at 1:00am and there was no one at the desk. We waited several minutes before anyone even arrived to check us in. The hotel itself is pretty dingy. We were in a room next to the exit stairs that reeked of marijuana. And as for the breakfast - The dining room was sticky and not clean. There was a broken, dirty Pepsi refrigerator in the dining room which was unsettling. The eggs were cold, the fruit was all bruised and looked old there was supposed to be biscuits and gravy and we were told that someone did not order biscuits and that we could use toast. For the price, I was not expecting a lot, but all of these things combined made for an overall disappointing experience.

Thank you for your comments and yes we are withing walking distance to restaurants, events and other activities. For those train lovers you can experience the CSX locomotives and Amtrak that come through on the main line in Cumberland.

They didn’t say pool was closed in the ad I saw. The hallways and carpet had stale smells. Trains were kinda noisy. The bedskirt has rips on it. The breakfast is just ok. Nothing special. Overall just ok

We apologize we did not meet your needs, we will look into the issues you had and will correct to the best of our ability. Typically the outdoor pool closes labor as when the nights drop to 50 degrees which it did the last week of August, it makes the water temperature fairly cold. We did try to open for at least a month as it is in need of repair and are looking to see what can be done if feasible to open most of the summer next year.

Adequate Hotel

Pros: The hotel was located close to the church we were attending for the celebration.
Cons: If you are advertising something, make sure it is available to the guests. If you have no intention on fixing the pool, take it off the site.
Location: Centrally located for anything in the Cumberland area.
I knew we would have some down time on Saturday so I asked where the pool was located. I was informed that the pool wasn't operable. We did see it and it was green. Saturday morning we had to eat breakfast early so we were there by 7:00 for the "made to order omelet." Unfortunately, the chef doesn't start getting ready until the breakfast time starts. He was finally able to start preparing omelets as we were leaving. Otherwise, the breakfast selection was good. There is a bar located about a block away that had a live band which played until 2:00 am and the parking garage located across the street seemed to amplify the music.

Pre-bus trip

Location: The C&O canal is nearby. Several restaurants ranging from Mc Donalds to seafood within walking distance. Free shuttle to the casino.
We stayed here the night before going on a bus trip. There was plenty of parking. Check-in was a breeze. Our room was clean and comfortable. The hot breakfast in the morning was much better than expected. Only heard the trains twice. My only complaint was that most of the listed chanels on the tv were not available.

Never Will Go Again!

If you're dissatisfied you will not be reimbursed by Travelocity or Ramada. Backs to train tracks. No Grille. Bar is small, white wine is chardonnay only. No room service. Go to the Marriott.
