Room are small and very dark. Ac is very loud. Not terrible for one night but any longer would not work for me

Had trouble finding the place since La Vale is not listed on I-68 signs nor is Route 53. I called the hotel and Kathy was very helpful.

Comfortable setting with room and bedding. Also river running beside the building had a sense of nature in the winter.

Room was clean when we checked in, air conditioning worked very good. Close to restaurants and the fairgrounds.

I'd stay again.

Hot coffee in the AM. B&G was good...and free. I'd stay here again if in the area.

Checked out after one night

I was very uncomfortable at this hotel from the moment I pulled in. The hotel is deteriorated. There were not many guests and it was Memorial Day weekend. The lobby was dirty and crowded. The staff were very unfriendly--even intimidating. No eye contact, no friendly greeting, just business. There were cigarette holes in the bedding, the bathroom wasn't very clean. Very young housekeeping staff. I wouldn't stay here if it were the only hotel in town.

I am sorry that you found the hotel to be less that satisfactory. I have spoken with the hotel staff and we are currently working on correcting the issues that you noted. I am not sure why you found the hotel to be empty on this weekend as we were sold out the entire weekend.

nice hotel in LaVale, Maryland

Pros: staff was really helpful.
Cons: make the fan work in bathroom, floor was always wet.
Location: Deep Creek Lake and Swallow falls.
it was quiet and peaceful. Everyone was really nice. They even named my dog Mr. Puggle. The only trouble we had was the bathroom floor was always wet/ the fan in bathroom didn't work..

Very unsatisfied !!!!

Pros: Free Internet
Cons: Noisy, Poor breakfast, Nothing close, stinks!!!!!
My husband and I stay in a lot of Hotels,and i have to say this Hotel was by far the absolute worst !!!! First upon arriving,the Hotel reeks of cigarette smoke!!!On up to our room,i always turn back the covers on the bed when I arrive to look things over,the pillows were not even all the way in pillow cases,all ballled up as if someone had just slept in it,and both beds were that way!!! So we go down stairs to office,Front desk help was very very friendly and very understanding,they moved us to another room..It was a lil better but over all we were not happy.Then I go to get ice,ice machine out of order!!! The morning were checking out and this was early like 7 when we went downstairs we had business first but they said sorry out of Orange juice,and right beside that sorry we are out of milk !!!! Im like are you serious !!! Geez how does this place stay in business !!!!! I would never reccomend this place !!!!! VERY VERY DISSAPOINTED

For use as a place for sleeping this was barly OK.

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, none
Cons: No free Internet, Noisy, Poor breakfast, simply bare bones
it was ok for the night I needed it for. I would not stay there again.
