Traveled with family and small children

We initially reserved 3 rooms for a weekend trip, but cancelled one room on Expedia when a member of our party couldn't join. We received a receipt from Expedia confirming that only one room was cancelled. However, Lang Bohol staff cancelled our entire reservation. When we arrived at check-in we were informed that all the rooms were taken. We received a refund for the other 2 rooms in VND because we didn't have the original credit card for the reservation during check-in. Exchange rate burned (22VND instead of 23 VND). No other remediation was offered. Since it was a holiday weekend, we struggled to find other affordable, clean accommodations. It was an incredibly disappointing experience.
