Honestly the room could have been better cleaned - the floor was grubby/gritty when we went in on day 1. The trash in the room wasn't emptied when the room was done after our first night's stay. The cushion on the bed was lying against the wall on the floor when the room was done after the first night's stay. Not brilliant. We had breakfast on Sunday and the table wasn't cleaned properly before we were guided to it either - there was syrup smeared in to the table that had not been cleaned properly.

Ants in our room, no refund afforded

Before we arrived, we called in about 1.5 hrs prior and requested that our room have a mini fridge so that we could store our 4 month old's milk therein. We did not received said fridge until about 1.5 hrs AFTER we arrived. Essentially it took the hotel 3 hours to bring up a 20lbs fridge to our room. Nonetheless, we tried to make the best of it.....Our room had an army trail of ANTS, however it was too late in the day to make a big fuss about it. My two year old kept waking up at night thinking he has ants on him. I brought this to the attention of the hotel staff the following day, they moved us to another room immediately. Upon check out, I explained our not so amazing experience to the front desk, the stated that ALL they could do was waive the resort fee ($37) for our first night in the ant infested room. I dropped $2,000 in 2 nights at this hotel, so that I would not have to deal with this. The location is beautiful, the customer service is unbecoming of a 4+ star hotel. I will not return nor will I recommend to friends and family. (videos of the ants are available upon request)

Wonderful Stay

Pros: The staff is exemplary. The views are stunning, and the rooms are immaculate.
Cons: Coordinate the menus. Better communication with bell desk.
Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort and Spa provided for a wonderful stay. Rooms were comfortable, staff was great. Had a little issue with the bell desk, but that was taken care of, and then some. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. The menus between the The Vue (restaurant), The Overview (Lounge), and in room dining should be coordinated a little better. Late in our stay we we found you could get full menu in each. We also eventually got used to the daily alarms that caused all the doors to shut. I surmised this was due to a renovation being done in one of the other wings. Not really much of an inconvenience though. In all, it was an extremely enjoyable stay.

Not the best experience.

The hotel staff was not very nice, they kept staring at us like we didn't belong there, but we were paying customers. They charge you $37 just to park for one night, that's a bit much if you ask me, I don't think I'll be staying here again.

Great place for a family vacation. Lots to do at resort and surrounding area. Did not like mandatory valet parking at $37.00 per day.

Great property, easy beach access.

Arrived late, walked to the beach (which was less than 200 yards away.) The only negative was the high resort fee ($25/day) and the cost to park (37.50/day.) Also got nickeled and died for another $2.50/day for some unknown fee. It was worth it, it just would have been nice to know up front.
