I was so impressed with the staff- check-in, housekeeping, food servers, check-in were all 10s in terms of friendliness & service. Can’t beat the evening reception with drinks/snacks & made-to-order omelets. Facilities/pool were fine.

We stayed here three years ago and loved it despite the fact that we got bed bugs after staff cleaned the room. The situation was handled swiftly and professionally and we were willing to give it another chance because we loved everything else about it. This time, we had no bed bugs, but everything else we liked about the place had gone down hill. It was like staff did not care about the appearance of the hotel, the morning breakfast and afternoon happy hour were so much worse than three years ago. We had a room next to the pool which smelled like chlorine every time we walked in. The pool ended up getting closed due to broken glass in it (staff did not monitor the pool area at all and even though there were signs that said "no glass" guests still brought glass into the area. Next to the big sign saying the pool was closed, was an entire family swimming in the pool. Outside in the smoking area glasses and trash were left for DAYS. It was clear that neither ownership or employees cared about the place or the guests at all. We will never be back.

Lovely stay

Pros: Great employees and atmosphere.
Cons: More bartenders at managers special.
Location: We went to Ikea shopping. We also had a late lunch at Landrys Seafood. There Happy Hour has great food.
We had a lovely room. The Managers special and breakfast were fabulous. I might suggest more bartenders at the special however as their was quite a line.

Travelocity - Not sharing Hotel Renovation Info

Pros: The staff were very polite and helpful.
When we arrived at the hotel it was in the middle of renovations. The staff was very nice and said that this communication had been on their website for months, but third party vendors (like Travelocity) do not share this information when selling rooms. We were very disappointed and almost all of the public space was wrapped in plastic for the renovation. I hold Travelocity completely responsible for this and will think twice before using the site to book our next trip.

Hotel

According to previous reviews, the hotel was doing some remodeling and I was a little concerned when I booked my reservations, but most of the remodeling was done and I had no issues with the hotel at all. It was a pleasant place to stay. I requested that I be on the first or second floor and I was on the second floor which worked out for me. The breakfasts were wonderful, especially the ability to get an omlet made to order. I loved that. They hot buffet was also very good, just not quite as warm as I would have liked but still very good. I had chocolate pancakes a couple of times. And it was great being able to eat later on Sat. and Sun. (till 10:30). I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Denver for business. It was convenient to get to work as well.

No View of the Mountains

Pros: The location is great because there are many restaurants and stores very close by. Also, our room had been newly renovated.
Cons: Online description of hotel could be a bit more truthful and regular pest control. I saw some spiders!
Location: Great location, good restaurants and shopping in the immediate area, as well as museums, and malls not too far away.
Overall, our stay was pleasant, the staff was nice and accommodating, the breakfast buffet was tasty and satisfying, and the room was clean and comfortable. The only disappointment was the fact that online the hotel advertises rooms with a mountain view, which is what I chose, however, when I pulled back the curtains in my room, all I saw were buildings in every direction with not a mountain in sight. If any of the rooms in that hotel had a view of the mountains, it would really surprise me. Also at the time of our stay, the hotel was undergoing renovations. Not a big deal, but it would have been nice to know beforehand.
