I have stayed at Sonestas before. There is no breakfast here. The hotel staff was no where to be found. Old property and marginally clean.

Sonesta has a few different types of properties, as a Simply Suites we offer the kitchenettes instead of the breakfast.

What could we have done to deserve a 10?

I booked my room 3 days before my finance and I anniversary. At the 3pm day of check in, I receive a call from the Candlewood saying that a couple had booked my room for another day and that there weren’t any other rooms available for us to stay in. On top of that, a Candlewood employee then decided to tell me that she moved my hotel stay to a hotel down the street. I never asked them to do that. That’s basically using my money without my permission. To not ruin our day anymore, I decided to stay at the hotel down the street which was even more upsetting due to the fact the hotel amenities and hotel room weren’t up to par with any other hotel in the city and the Candlewood told me that the price would be the same which was not true. I honestly want the Candlewood to just take responsibility for this complete mess and provide a solution.

Home away from home

Pros: The room was really spacious
Cons: I would have appreciated a safe in the room.
Location: Somerset Mall Entrance to I-75 Unique downtown Clawson with sidewalk restaurants
I needed a home base while I was in the Clawson-Troy area for a H.S. class reunion. I also had a number of relatives and friends I wanted to visit while I was in the area. This was ideal. I could stop in at anytime during the day and not worry that the maid would be in the room. The Candlewood Cupboard had a wide variety of food that I could prepare in my small kitchenette for a light meal. There was a very neighborly attitude among the other guests as they exercised or used the free laundry services. I will be back.

I stayed for 4 nights, was kinda nice and quiet, parking was easy included. close to all.
