The outside is a castle! Inside was nice and clean. If you are expecting rock walls and such, then this is not it. It is a modern hotel with castle like exterior. Overall i liked it. It looks cool.

Staying in a castle was definitely a bucket list type of adventure. Beautiful artwork and medieval touches around the property really gave a great feel. Arthur checked us in and couldn’t have been more helpful. We stayed here at the beginning and end of our trip to Ireland. Would highly recommend

The property was beautiful and staff was very helpful and accommodating. The only issue I had was that the bed wasn't very comfortable and the room was very warm.

When our taxi drove up to Clontarf Castle Hotel, we were so impressed. It was dusk and the lights were on outside the castle. The lobby is huge and check-in was a breeze. There are many sitting areas in the hotel for you to enjoy tea and relax. It is tastefully decorated. The breakfast at Fahrenheit was outstanding. We had dinner in the Knights dining hall, which looks like a medi-evil with a modern twist, pub. Our room was a nice size and very clean. Staff was very helpful. There was no waiting for cabs. I believe they line up near the hotel so when the customer service counter contacts them, they are there in a flash. The staff at the counter suggested we return for the Christmas holidays because they decorate the hotel beautifully with a huge Christmas tree in the lobby, and they have carolers. I would definitely stay here again.
