We stayed two nights, had two rooms. We enjoyed the great breakfast, good pool & hot tub, nice bedding and towels. Shower had cracked tiles, yuck, shower had good pressure, plenty of hot water. Keurig was ok, I have one at home and NEVER have to wait so long for second cup! Housekeeping inadvertently forgot more sugar/creamer/stirrer packets but front desk happily provided some. Please keep coffee service out all day, not just in the morning! We walked to Bart, walked to ice skating ($12 each for skates + time) and went bowling next door (half price with hotel door key), as well as walking to different restaurants for dinner. Road noise was pretty loud tho, should stay on floor 1 or 2, not 3!

The room was excellent. This is why I choose to stay at Holiday Inn. You get what you pay for. Sheets were fresh, the room wasn't stale, bathroom didn't require show shoes. Turing on the water for a shower was a little tricky but call the front desk and that too was taken care of. If you wan peace of mind and a good night sleep while traveling use Holiday Inn.

I'm definitely stayed in better hotels I have stayed in worst hotels but what bothers me more than anything is that we pay for mediocre. The room wasn't clean enough, certainly the bathroom wasn't. It looked as if the bathroom floor hadn't been cleaned in months. I actually took a piece of damp Kleenex and wipe the floor because I thought I was seeing things, but it was dirty and I can't stand dirty bathrooms , certainly not bathrooms that I share with strangers that have stayed in the room before me. Part of the problem is we don't want to complain to the front desk for fear that there will be some sort of retaliation. I know that sounds paranoid but it happens. We also trust when we leave all our items in a room that they won't be touched, so we have actually quit having our rooms clean for that reason. We have lost items in hotels before. All in all the hotel was convenient to where we needed to be, and again we've stayed in worse, I just wish that we felt free enough to alert the hotel to a problem.

Some good and bad...

We stayed at the hotel the last weekend of July as part of a group contract for our kids soccer team. As part of the contract we had a set room rate and free breakfast for both Saturday and Sunday. The rate we got without question but had to badger the front desk clerk for the vouchers for breakfast. And then they were unwilling to issue more than one days vouchers at a time. Looking back I don't know why we bothered, the breakfast on Saturday was terrible and Sunday wasn't much better. On Saturday they had scrambled eggs and bacon, bread (no toaster) and cold French toast. We had to ask for knives and then got plastic utensils. Really? Is the hotel being run by the TSA who thinks we are airborne or something? Sunday we had all plastic utensils but the eggs, bacon, sausage and French toast were at least hot.. However no toaster ever appeared for the bread and bagels although there was butter and jam. The room was OK-we were upgraded to a suite as they ran out of rooms with two queen size beds. The bathroom was clean and we had plenty of towels. We had no other problems except the ice machine on the third floor was broken the whole time we were there-the others worked sometimes but it was pretty clear from the staffs attitude that they weren't ready for soccer teams or special requests so beware.

Below par for me compaed to other holiday inn or express hotels chain

Pros: Free Internet
Cons: see my review
Reception staff were pleasant but didn't go out of their way ,could understand if they were very busy but that wasn't the case.Clean & comfortable but overall average. Rooms are a bit sprawled out, not the best laid out floor plan for a hotel.Going to my room was a bit like going through a maze, signs not easily visible or reader friendly. I didn't try the restaurant. I asked for tea bags for my room since I'm not a coffee drinker and it seemed a big deal for that simple request...just seemed like a bother for them. When I personally went to the desk to explained & ask if I could have tea instead..the receptionist said I'm not sure we have tea and eventually called the kithen after I made the suggestion...who doesn't have tea?especially in this calibre hotel? It is a minor thing and no big deal.I don't usually complain or ask for any special extras.. and the little things really do make a difference to travellers.

Poor sound insulation, lack of responsiveness from staff

Pros: Free Internet
Cons: Noisy
The first day the pool, the hot tub and the exercise room were all out of service. Check in staff were friendly and helpful, but.... On the second night, the sleep number bed pump started up every fifteen minutes. The next day, I asked for a reduction in price and several times was told someone will call me, but they did not. At check out time I found out they had reduced my bill by $30, it's just that no one took the time to call me when they said they would. Sound easily travels from the bathroom, the room upstairs and the room next door. For this reason, I would not stay there again.
