Excellent city center location

The staff was absolutely wonderful and of great assistance in all matters; we were greeted by a super knowledgable and helpful hotel representative who not only had great suggestions but went above and beyond to help will booking events. We were provided great tips on food, how to get about town and things to do to maximize our time in Dublin. We were extremely happy with the hotel and staff.

good place cheaper rates if you book early

Pros: staff
Cons: construction noise drives you out no daytime sleeping
Location: too much to do the location a bit scketchy but safe and street people are always interesting
staff were very good needed an extra towel showed up quick needed midnight pizza they called it in and escorted the carrier room could be a bit cleaner but not bad based on usa standards theaters and tours right around the corner taxi to temple bar

Worst hotel experience of my life.

Pros: The food in the restaurant was good.
Cons: Please consider CLOSING the hotel while it's under construction. It is not fair to guests.
Location: The location was not as good as I thought it would be.
My husband and I were so excited to go to Ireland and this hotel pretty much ruined the entire trip for us. Had I known there was VERY LOUD construction going on at this hotel, I NEVER would have booked it. When we arrived, we were told by hotel management that the jackhammering and loud machinery would not begin until 10 am each morning. That was a lie. Each morning, we were awoken at 7:00 am by extremely loud construction over our heads. It does not matter where in the hotel you are located, you WILL be awoken by loud construction and will not be able to go back to sleep. We are younger (in our 30s) and like to sleep in just a little, especially since we enjoy going out at night and wanted to experience the local pubs. Each day we spent in Ireland we found ourselves extremely exhausted and tired and barely able to function due to the lack of quality sleep and rest. I used the time on the Hop On Hop Off bus to take a nap because it was actually more quiet and peaceful than our hotel room. When you're on vacation, the hotel room has one purpose - to be a place where you can rest, relax, and get a good night's sleep to prepare for the next day. The Maldron Parnell Square did not provide any of this and I highly recommend NOT staying at this hotel. I wish I could get my money back. Staying here was one of the worst decisions I've ever made and our trip to Ireland was pretty much ruined by this hotel.

Construction—jackhammer every morning.

Clean hotel and otherwise fine. But they notified us upon arrival that there would be construction going on every day, which began each morning and was a barrier to relaxing. When Travelocity was notified they, the response was not helpful.

Nice hotel, close to the City Center

Pros: Proximity to attractions, transit, food. Quiet at night. Clean.
Cons: Shower curtain needed to be washed or replaced.
Location: Easy walk to Temple Bar, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin Castle, St. Stephen's Green, Trinity College, National Museum of Ireland
This was a great location, close enough to walk to all the major attractions in Dublin that we wanted to see (furthest walk was back from the Guinness Storehouse and our GPS took us through some residential neighborhoods which we enjoyed seeing and made the walk fun). Our flight landed at 5:15am and we were at the hotel by 6:00am. Even though check in wasn't officially until much later, we dropped our bags off, walked to breakfast nearby and the staff was able to have a room ready for us at 9am when we returned so we could take a little nap and shower and get ready for our first day! The staff were all extremely helpful. If I had to say pick one thing that we did not like about the hotel, it would definitely be the shower curtain in the bathroom. Everything about our room was very clean, but the shower curtain smelled like sour water, really strong odor...it needed to be washed or replaced. Overall, we would definitely stay here again. We left our window open on the first night and there was construction outside earlier the next morning, but when we shut the window, no noise could be heard, it was so quiet! This hotel matches everything we look for in a hotel: close enough to walk to a lot of different things, close to restaurants, close to mass transit, clean, and quiet at night so we can get sleep for the next day!

Close proximity to everything!

Pros: Close proximity to everything you would like to do while in the city.
Cons: Shower would not drain and we requested that it be fixed and it was not.
Location: Temple Bar, shopping, restaurants, National Leprechaun museum Jameson Distillery and Guinness Storehouse were all 15-20 minute walk from hotel!
My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and the experience was wonderful! Check in was a breeze and the hotel staff was very friendly. The front desk staff was very accommodating when we called with our questions and request. We included breakfast in our deal, which I would highly recommend. If you include it in the beginning, it's still the same price, but one less thing to worry about. The hotel was a 15 minute walk to the city center where we did most of our shopping and very close to the Temple Bar area which is where we spent most nights. The room was cozy and well kept. You can hear some street noise from the rooms, but it wasn't anything crazy.
