Excellent stay!
This wonderful place in Chemainus was a getaway with all the comforts of home. We enjoyed waking up to horses in the field, hiked the trails, and kayaked in the ocean. The home was spacious and clean. We traveled all the way from Hawaii and had a nice, relaxing vacation. Heidi was incredibly helpful and her special touches made our stay extremely memorable!!

Heaven in Chemainus
A wonderful house on a fabulous property- the family had an amazing time kayaking on the sound, feeding apples to the horses and exploring the woods. Very comfortable with everything you need. Heidi is lovely host and provided us with breakfast goodies and home grown plums, apples and vegetables. Also a great source of what’s available to do and see. The town of Chemainus has some good bakeries and cafes, cute little parks and some wonderful murals. Nice base town for exploring the south part of Vancouver Island. Looking forward to returning.

Third time and will come back!
Our stays have always been a wonderful mix of tranquil peace and reading in the shade of the porch, combined with energetic outings (swimming, canoeing, kayaking, pickleball, fishing, walks, biking, etc). One of our sons found it a great place to prepare for his next triathlon. Great to re-connect as a family in such a spacious place. Francie and Kaydee are regular "visitors" to the guest house grounds, and we discovered that Francie likes to have her tummy rubbed! Our host Heidi is great at communicating and always gives us a warm welcome. We are very much looking forward already to our next (4th!) stay.

Wonderful family vacation
We loved this place! The house was perfect for our family of 6 adults and 2 children. Each bedroom was equally comfortable--having a private bath for each bedroom was great! The kitchen was well-stocked with the basics and more. The best part of it was Heidi, the property manager. She lives next door and responded to every message immediately. She was so thoughtful about what we might enjoy. She arranged for the kids to brush the horses and take a ride into town in a horse-drawn carriage, which was fun for the adults, too! Our 6-year-old girl was captivated by the fairy houses, so Heidi brought over a beautiful box of materials that we used to build a fairy house. The property is beautiful. There is a big meadow and beautiful woods, and a lovely shoreline. The tide goes out a long way, so pay attention to tides if you want to go to the water.

This is a beautiful home in an idyllic location
The home was ideal for our family of 8 with everything you could wish for and more. Heidi was most helpful, accommodating the early arrival of some of us and bringing breakfast goodies. She let us know about tides and local events. The walk to the dock took our family about 15 minutes through beautiful but steep forest, not ideal for older folks.

Great Family Retreat
We enjoyed our family Christmas here. Our second visit to this property and it worked our perfect for a much needed reunion with family. Heidi is very accommodating and adds personal touches such as baked goods, breakfast items, fresh coffee beans. Lots of room for all of us to enjoy the space. Feels like home.
