We slept well and the place was pretty cozy. While checking in we noticed the bar attached to the lobby was hosting karaoke. Once settled in we dripped in to then end up staying until closing. The people, mostly regulars, were very friendly and treated us like long lost friends. We will be returning in The near future. This works out perfectly for a meeting half way point for my ex and i to trade off time with our son. Making an extremely long 4 hour drive not so bad knowing we have a great place to stay the night without breaking the bank and friends to hangout with.

Not much to like Way too much time and paperwork at check-in. Surprised with $100 charge that was refundable for potential room damage.

The Good: The beds were comfortable. The linen was clean. The room was clean. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was pretty decent. The shower was great with excellent pressure. The Bad: For a "renovated" room, it was mediocre. Paint, drapes and bedspread do not a renovation make. Furniture was reminiscent of the 80s, was worn, scratched and otherwise beat up around the edges... and there was too much of it, making it hard to move around. The doors and trim had 30+ years of paint which was chipped and peeling. The USB port I tried to use to charge my phone didn't work, the electric sockets were mostly loose, the WiFi was dial-up slow, when it would connect at all. (pretty bad in an area that has sketchy cell service) The towel rack in the bathroom was skewed. There was only one hand towel, and no place to put it near the sink. The door to the room didn't set well, it was hard to be sure the deadbolt engaged.

NON -SMOKING yet smelled terribly of cigarette smoke. Difficult to be at all comfortable when all you breathe is cigarette stench from the moment you enter the room until you leave, which was as early as possible to get out of the smell.
