Good price, centrally located,, They closed the pool when I got here,, its more like a working mans stopover, no frills.

The bathroom was disgusting-mold, holes in walls, and ceiling. The bed was very uncomfortable. The springs were popping up, it felt like sleeping on a pull out sofa. If you stay on the lower level be prepared for the noice from you neighbors above you. They claim a complimentary breakfast which consists of cheerios and milk. Very disappointing and won't be back

Lots of problems

1) Supposed to be 100% smoke free, but you could smell the smoke in the room 2) very loud air conditioner 3) toilet didn't work from the moment So got there 4) Bed was extremely hard, unable to sleep on it, so I had to bring in my air mattress to sleep on 5) I will say that Eric (the desk clerk) was very nice and helpful and even carried my air mattress into the room. 6) Although this was not their fault, but the power went out 5-6 am and was out for almost 2 hours. No way to call the front desk, so I contacted the power conpany, and they sent a repair person there--who actually called me. He told me that The Crystal Inn had NOT called them to report that there was a power outage--just me. Very innapropriate!!! 67) I was way too exhausted to look for another place to stay, so I decided to put up with the poor conditions. And when I requested to spend another night, was told that I could. Then, the next morning when I called the front desk, I was notified that there was a glitch in the system, and that my room had already been reserved for someone else. So, I had to pack up all my stuff and find another place to stay--which was problematic because it is very difficult to find a motel that will allow you to check in before 3:00pm. I had to beg and plead to finally get The Red Roof Inn to agree to let me check in before noon. Red Roof Inn did cost quite a bit more, but it was a much more comfortable experience. I requested to be compensated for everything I went through

Never Again....

Pros: I booked it based on the pictures. I should have read the reviews!
Cons: I get that it's a cheap motel, but the potential improvements are too many to list with the character limitations.
I wanted to write the motel directly, but there is no digital contact information on their website. Please note that I do not have proof, but feel very strongly that someone working at the motel compromised my credit card. By the time I made it home, someone tried to use my credit card information (without it present...not the card used to reserve, but the one I used at check in). The Crystal Inn was the only place I used my recently activated card. Thankfully, my bank's fraud department flagged the attempt and shut down my account immediately. I was willing to overlook the shadiness of the clientele who hung out being loud at all hours until I realized what happened to my card. Again, I don't have proof and would have loved to make the allegation directly to the motel, but there was no "Contact Us" on their website. If someone at the motel is, in fact, using customer's credit card information this on line complaint is the least of their worries. Going forward, I will gladly pay more to stay somewhere else.

Inexpensive close to beach car needed

If your looking for a roof over your head and a quarter to save this is the place - nothing to write home about - however with a clean pool and close enough to beach and able to bring your own small BBQ Grill and enjoy dinner under one of two Gazebo's with an interesting Cast of Tenants ~ We went their on a Weekend night but it could be "LOUD". A couch in the room or chairs would help - out of a 10 I rate my experience a 6.5 plus ~
