The Harborview Hotel is one of my absolute favorite hotels. It’s incredibly clean with wonderful service and the most incredible view of the water and Edgartown light house beach. I’ve been coming here for years and it never disappoints.

This is a great place to stay. The units are beautiful and the food in the restaurant was great. The bathroom has a lovely heated floor and it has a nice shower and jacuzzi tub. Will stay here again.

I expected a much nicer hotel room

There was mold all over the outside walls of the bldg we stayed in near the pool. For a room that cost more than $500 a night I expected the room to be upscale and beautiful. It was not. We could have been in a 2 star hotel room, it needed a renovation. Downstairs main hotel bathroom needs renovation. There were scuffs and dirt on the bathroom door. Not what I expected.

Perfect hotel

You know how you always hear about those "perfect" hotels - great rooms, friendly staff, outstanding location, etc, etc.? Well this is another one of those. Harbor View hotel was perfect. Great, great staff - super friendly and helpful. Simply outstanding experience!

Gorgeous setting right on the harbor of Edgarton

Pros: Spectular location that can't be beat in Eagertown. The porch was just so inviting and filled with guests most of the day. Very festive place to be.
Cons: The rooms need to be equal to the 4 star rating of the hotel. You are clearly paying for the location not the tired rooms. Updating is needed.
Location: Spectacular location right on the harbor. Fun to walk 10 minutes past the historic houses to shop at the downtown area. Loved the lighthouse!
We stayed for four days and three nights at this spectacular hotel with a breathtaking location. It is right on the edge of a beautiful harbor and a 10 minute walk past perfecty maintained historic houses to a large groups of beautiful shops and restaurants. You would never know this hotel was originally built at the turn of the century since the main lobby, restaurants and wrap-around porch appear fairly new. We spent many hours reading or enjoying a drink on the fabulous wrap-around porch watching the boats roll in. It is also a short walk across the quiet street to a sandy/rocky beach and adorably lighthouse. We didn't realize the lobby desk had beach chairs to use free of charge. I would have stayed at the beach much longer if we knew that. Very picturesque. On the negative side, the room did not meet our expectations given the high price. You are clearly paying for the location. We were in a standard room (number 15) with a large king bed in the cottages. The cottages are a series of stand alone buildings behind the hotel. While the room was pretty large, the carpeting was pretty dirty (as evidenced by our dirty feet), the furniture was a little beat up and the bathroom was pretty old and not updated. Also, the A/C was having difficulty keeping the room cold. The staircase going up to our room on the third floor was horribly soiled and should be replaced asap. It really made a bad impression as we took the stairs to our room.

Wonderful gracious hotel w/ a great history!

Pros: The setting is classic! We loved being able to walk everywhere. It is of a class of hotel rarely found anymore!
Cons: I honestly can't think of anything that could be improved.
Location: The location is absolutely beautiful! So natural...I loved the lack of "chain stores", no McDonald's or Targets, etc.
We were staying there for a family wedding. The setting was perfect. The weather was perfect. The staff were very helpful and accomodating. The restaurant food was delicious. Everything was top-notch! We're from Pasadena, California, so it was a bit of a trek getting there but well worth every effort. The wedding coordinator was on top of everything and did a terrific job. Thanks for a most memorable occasion, one we will never forget!

This hotel was a true gem

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The location is great! In town, but not RIGHT downtown so you have some quiet while still in walking distance to the town centre. Great service, nice rooms and just an all around great stay!

Fabulous hotel!

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, beautiful views
I stayed there for a week before my wedding, and also had my wedding there, last June and absolutely loved it! The rooms vary in price which gave my guests a great range of prices to chose from. The pool is perfect to lay out at and the, very short, walk into town is gorgeous! Highly recommend!
