The guy at the front desk was the worst. They require a $300 hold for local residents. I wasn’t a local resident but my ID had my old address on it. I had proof of my current residence but he wouldn’t accept it. I had to move money around because of it. Do not stay here. It’s run down and the staff are so difficult

However we do our best to make our policies very clear and ensure that it is stated on all the booking sites so you are aware prior to booking your reservation. We do not mean to be difficult, however, an incidental coverage fee is general practice among all hotels and furthermore we are one of the very few hotels that will accommodate those with a local Erie address at all. We do understand how it may have caused an inconvenience to you, however, we are just doing our job and the money was returned once you completed your stay and no damage was found. The hotel was old and in awful condition. I’ve stayed in hotels that are old -At least the rooms are clean. We had a queen size bed on the 3rd floor. We were told that was the most remodeled floor. The room was large but had lots of issues. A patch of wall that hat been repaired but never re-painted marks or smudges on several walls. 2 spots in the ceiling that had obvious water damage and just painted over. An outlet that was black from obvious damage. We would have just left and gotten another room some place else- however, do to a festival going on the hotels around were booked. Only planning on being there one night and not spending much time in the room we decided to stick it out. Later in the evening my husband got stuck in the elevator for about 15 minutes. Only one elevator worked. The other was broken. The worst part of all- after finally getting into the bed my husband felt something crusty and dried in thecsheets. We pulled the co wed off and a large dried streak of something in the sheet. We do believe some human excrament. I was discussed!! It was then obvious the sheets had not been changed. We immediately called and they brought new sheets and we changed them. When checking out we made a complaint to the new morning front desk staff of the sheet issue. The manager was not around. They took our info to have the manager call us. As of yet no call. I will start calling my self. I did see a sign that double tree will be taking over. Not soon enough

Stayed in a superior king suite. Bed was clean and comfortable....bathroom was relatively clean but VERY dingy. You can tell housekeeping doesn’t vaccuum the edges of the room or under/behind anything. Probably would not stay here again. It was very expensive for such a dingy hotel.

Staff were really nice but hotel leaves something to be desired. It's pretty run down and breakfast is 'meh.' Staff tried their best to help and were the saving grace of our stay. They immediately responded to super loud people next door after we called front desk. Wouldn't return.

Only 1 working elevator! Stairs went only 2 floors and then you had to walk to other end of building to continue. Rooms had odors and carpet stains-outdated bathroom fixtures. Breakfast was poor on items available and when asked for more when depleted we waited quite some time. With all the chain hotels available-we chose poorly!
