"My wife and I loved our 4 night stay at the Sofitel Grand Ducal. The location of the hotel is almost directly in between uptown and downtown. A brilliant central location. The reception staff were really excellent. Very friendly, very helpful and always smiling!! A bit shout out to Kevin Kayir who stood out as one of the best receptionists I ever came across.... In fact all the staff at this hotel are brilliant, personable, friendly and professional. We received a free upgrade to a beautiful valley view and the included breakfast was great! Lovely fresh juices, a good assortment of breads, cheese, salmon, eggs etc etc and we never left the breakfast room hungry :) The restaurant menu was not really to our taste and the bar food was fairly limited so we tended to eat out for lunch and dinner, with lots of great restaurants within easy walking distance. The bedrooms were fabulous. My only comment would be the desk was a little 'tired' and storage space for clothes was lacking. I suggest moving the coffee machines to the desk area which I would replace with a dressing table integrated with drawers. Bathroom and shower were modern, clean with high quality Balmain soaps etc and the toilet was separate which was also nice. This was our first trip to Luxembourg and we would not hesitate to stay here again in the future. Highly recommend..."
