Once we settled things were ok...we could not use the guesthouse which was above the garage and the smell was very strong even after we opened all the doors, windows. It smelled of car fumes, gas, my husband described it as being in a mechanic/boat shop, if you are sensitive to smell or prone to headaches like my guests, it's not good. We ended up not using the guesthouse, we used the air mattress and 4 people stayed in the master bedroom.
The main house was much better but if you are looking for an open concept this isn't it. It's a split level with kitchen on top and bedrooms and living room on bottom. It was fine for us but the staircase is narrow and spiral which might be a problem to some.
There are skylights throughout the house which was nice to get natural lights in but the one in the master bathroom you have to be careful if you have people gathered above the balcony, they can look right below and see you, not a fun thing.
Some other guest mentioned about the dirty floor, same here, bottom of our feet was black, ended up wearing our flip flops.
Had problems with the gate to the house, couldn't get the keypad to work on one side, hopefully they got it fixed for the next guests. The driveway leading to the house is very steep, narrow, winding. I'm glad my husband was driving, I would have had problems getting up.
Didn't think the kitchen was well stocked. Missing some basic things, not enough pots and pans and cutting boards. It was hard to cook for 8.
I don't normally write reviews but I felt I had to on this house, mainly because of the guesthouse issue for us.
