About this property

Entire place

You'll have the entire home to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

Amazing panoramic views and deck to watch from

Located 10 minutes from downtown Crescent City and the Smith River, our home sits atop a hill that overlooks the ocean and is perfect for a private and relaxing holiday. Connected by a catwalk, the property has two separate units. The main house has a master suite, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a family room located downstairs, perfect for a game night with the family. Upstairs is the kitchen, dining area, bar and a half bath, with a wrap-around deck. Head out to the deck to watch the sun slowly set on the Pacific, prepping you for a relaxing night gazing at the stars.

Across the catwalk, the guest suite has a bedroom, bathroom and living area. Great addition for an extra couple or someone who needs a bit more privacy. We have two living areas that can accommodate two queen air mattresses and sofas to sleep on if your party is larger than 8 adults. There is an additional $80 per night fee for the use of the guest suite.

Our property is located on 6 1/2 acres with a 600 ft. long paved, curved, gated driveway. *The driveway is steep*. Views stretch from Crescent City Harbor to Brookings, Oregon, including Castle Rock and Pt. St. George Lighthouse visible from the front balcony. Binoculars are available at the house to take in the ocean views and are great for the bird watching.

Summary of executive workspace
The house and guesthouse were clean, organized and set up for guests to stay in comfort. Spacious living and dining area allowed for our group to work and live for several days. The outside deck is spectacular space but is ready for some attention. Property manager was great

5/5 Excellent

Great home base for a group hiking trip!
This house checked all the boxes for us; clean, quiet, spacious, and in a great location! Great views (despite some forest fire smoke)! That said... the driveway is a little steep! I'm very happy I brought my SUV!

Great view!!
Beautiful house, great view, owners very responsive to small plumbing issue. Driveway is quite an experience - steep with many blind corners. Be sure to clarify if apartment units is included- we misunderstood the listing but owner was accommodating on short notice.

Easy to find, beautiful house with plenty of sleeping places for everyone.

3/5 Okay

It was ok.
Once we settled things were ok...we could not use the guesthouse which was above the garage and the smell was very strong even after we opened all the doors, windows. It smelled of car fumes, gas, my husband described it as being in a mechanic/boat shop, if you are sensitive to smell or prone to headaches like my guests, it's not good. We ended up not using the guesthouse, we used the air mattress and 4 people stayed in the master bedroom. The main house was much better but if you are looking for an open concept this isn't it. It's a split level with kitchen on top and bedrooms and living room on bottom. It was fine for us but the staircase is narrow and spiral which might be a problem to some. There are skylights throughout the house which was nice to get natural lights in but the one in the master bathroom you have to be careful if you have people gathered above the balcony, they can look right below and see you, not a fun thing. Some other guest mentioned about the dirty floor, same here, bottom of our feet was black, ended up wearing our flip flops. Had problems with the gate to the house, couldn't get the keypad to work on one side, hopefully they got it fixed for the next guests. The driveway leading to the house is very steep, narrow, winding. I'm glad my husband was driving, I would have had problems getting up. Didn't think the kitchen was well stocked. Missing some basic things, not enough pots and pans and cutting boards. It was hard to cook for 8. I don't normally write reviews but I felt I had to on this house, mainly because of the guesthouse issue for us.
