my wife and i had to wait until 2:00 pm to be checked into for a room. We were checked into a room at 11:00 am on several occasions.

I'm sure there are nicer minimum-security prisons.

The intersection of corporate chain "consistent experience of the brand" with the lowest-cost provider mission of Motel 6 produces a particularly dehumanizing lodging experience. Everything about this place says "you can't afford anything better."

Disappointed

Pros: Not applicable
Cons: I would recommend purchasing new comforters when they become stained. Also, perhaps a checklist to ensure that all of the linens have been changed.
Location: Arcata, CA
The sheets had hair and some kind of black dots all over them. They looked as if they hadn't been washed. There were stains on the comforters as well. We left and stayed at another hotel. The manager did call me the next day and apologize for the condition of the room, which I did appreciate. Unfortunately, after seeing the condition of the room, I will never book a room at a Motel 6 again.

Good Motel 6

Clean and quiet -- which is what I wanted. I did have a problem with smoke in the hallway one evening. Cable TV with HBO. WiFi ($2.99 a day - free for AARP members) worked well -- and the one time it didn't a quick call to tech support fixed the issue. Near the freeway and a grocery store as well as fast food and a bunch of other hotels. I went jogging over the freeway (good sidewalk) and to the right on a small road with infrequent traffic.
