Dirty, stained sheets (did not use the pillows - they were foul). Dirty ashtray (I don't even smoke). ROACHES (yes, plural). Remnants of carpet pieced together. Phone did not wor.k. Alarm clock broken. Stench of stale smoke. Experience was in no way worth the price of the room. I will rethink staying at Wyndham properties in the future.

Condoms behind the bedside table!!!!

'*Quotations are used because when i addressed my concerns with my stay i was directed to a man that said "I only watch the hotel for my father, he is the manager." Where to start, well there were 2 used condoms behind my bedside table; pool was sub par and then the" hotel manager" had the audacity to stare at patrons while trying to enjoy themselves. He said nothing and just stood along the pool side for maybe 20 minutes watching people, INCLUDING children play!!! he made many of the female patrons uncomfortable one woman even took her young children back to her room because he made her so very uncomftable . Then after a small commotion between the fellow patrons and the" manager" a disheveled older gentleman, which I guess is a live in property maintenance man comes out with a bottled beer in hand and tries to coax the manager out of the pool area. He didn't listen and then proceeded to undress and swim, some patrons exited the pool. Good Luck to anyone who stays here. Next time I pay the extra $30 and step out of the No tell Motel which claims to be family oriented.

A place to sleep

Pros: Did have a pretty good complimentary breakfast with a decent dining room.

This was not a 2 star motel. It would be lucky to make a star and a half. If it would have been rated correctly, we would not have booked it. Reason we did is because most hotels were booked for that night, so we took a chance. The furniture was beat up. You had to unplug a light to plug in the coffee pot. Only two small pillows on a Queen bed. Stopper did not work in the sink. Outside staircase was filthy.

Good Deal

The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. Nice little coffee maker in the room. Iron, ironing borad and hair dryer in the room. The bathroom was clean and adequate with good linens. Room service was good. The front desk clerks were friendly and accommodating. We liked the continental breakfast bar especially since we have two children. Overall, we felt we got a good deat and would definitely go back if the price remains good.

Nice Place to Stay

This was a very neat and clean hotel. Considering it was right off the highway it was nice and quiet. We would definately stay again. The staff seemed to be quite helpful also.

Pathetic treatment by manager - DO NOT STAY HERE!

In the middle of February, the heat did not work in our room. We requested to move, but the front desk attendant assured us that the room would eventually heat. Needless to say, it did not. There were many vacant rooms, but she refused to move us. I could tell the rooms were vacant because the curtains were open. My husband and I slept fully dressed with jackets and all. Though I was in no hurry to continue traveling, we awoke at 5am (checked in at 11pm) to leave the dreadful place. Had I been somewhere cleaner, warmer and more comfortable, I would have lounged around until checkout time. When I complained the next morning that the heat never came on, I was told to contact the manager (who happened to be in training on Sunday...yeah, right!). Since then, I have spoken to the manager's, son who assured me his father would address my concerns (after 2 months, I still haven't heard from the manager). I also faxed 3 letters asking for 1/2 my money back. I thought giving a 50% refund would be more than fair for the hotel. In my letter, I threatened to post my horrible experience on every website and blog I could find. They are so STUPID! Why would you not refund $28, but rather risk hundreds of people reading an unfavorable post and possibly losing thousands of dollars. Well that's the position Super 8 Dunn, NC has taken. I'm not sure if the manager actually owns this hotel as a franchise, but he certainly does not understand the standards of American customer service. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST!

A Wonderful Stay

We had a lovely stay at Africa Centre Guest Lodge, the staff is wonderful the rooms are nice and clean. I recomend this lodge to anyone traveling to Johannesburg
