Discreet location. The elevator is the 2nd oldest in Florence.

This property is unique in that the "hotel" is one floor of the building and the rest are residence. Its nice in that is older well constructed look with wood floors, marble, etc. The room was clean but they had a mosquito issue that was quite bothersome. We were there for only one evening. The person working there - was the only one - was nice, helpful but seemed a bit overwhelmed. Overall, it was fine nothing bad, but nothing to write home about.

Staff was excellent, room was clean and nice. It was quiet street from square . We liked it , however there is tiny elevator only 2 people can fit in it and otherwise you have to take really steep step for 4 flight of stairs, so if you are not good shape or you don’t want to take a stairs, you might consider other hotels.

This hotel is well located for a visit to Florence. Large rooms, a wonderful bathtub (what's not to like!) and a nice breakfast. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Some notes; although it wasn't a major drama, something was wrong with the airconditioning in our room so rather than be able to control it from inside our room they had to override it at the front desk. This was a bit of a hassle but it all worked out. Also, although it was nice to have an American outlet in the bathroom, it didn't work. None of this detracted from the quality of our stay, hence the 5-star rating, they were just notable items. I'd definitely stay here again.

A small but beautiful room in a historic building. The staff were exceptional with arranging taxis. dinner reservations and just general knowledge. They really strove to help us in every way.
