We absolutely enjoyed our stay at the private residence at the Hilton fort Lauderdale beach resort. We've stayed on the strip a few times before and have never used any of the hotel amenities which made this decision perfect! We will plan to always stay in one of Andrew's rooms in the future! We didn't have any issues during our stay. We had plenty of towels to use, bed sheets and even an extra blanket was available for use if we needed it. There were instructions in the room with helpful information which was very appreciated on our part. When you send a text, you will receive a response asap and with resolution, this was our experience. Thank you again Andrew, you're the best!

I booked this facility for one night and right away i realized that it was supposed to be for the next day. I called travelocity to switch the date or the property if there's no room availability but the manager of the property insisted that all bookings were final and no switch or refund will be given. I just wanted my one day off on my birthday to be special but instead i just gave money away. So much for guest appreciation or human decency.

The Bell guys were awesome. Anything we needed to know they sent us in the right direction. The only very negative thing I can say is, $44 a day to park our car at the hotel we are staying at. That is so rediculous. I can see $10 maybe but $44. Never again

We agree, the valet parking charge is ridiculous. We are not involved in nor do we profit from the vale parking. I recommend using uber or rent a car for the actual day its required.

Overall positive; minor issue

Cons: Sheets. Simply put. Very out of norm to NOT use two sheets. Why? People have to complain about this non-stop I would imagine...
Overall the experience was positive. Nice location, nice facility, nice view from hotel to beach. Large room and large bathroom. We stayed here for one night after a cruise. Got to hotel early and was able to check-in early through coordination with booking manager / hotel. All done through text and very accomodating - THANK YOU! A bit of a disconnect being a 'private residence' vs. one that Hilton 'manages'. There's a bit of a separation and definitely need to think about this as you book. For instance because we were not booked direct through Hilton when we went to the beach to use the beach chairs we were quickly greeted and asked what room number, informed them, and they were quick to state because it was a private residence the chairs were $30/day and could only be paid in cash. Everything was in cash/up front payment being private whether it be drink at bar, dinner, etc. Our other issue we didn't discover till the evening when going to bed. Went to get in bed and only had one sheet and the comforter. Sent texts to booking manager and he replied that 'the maids do not put a top sheet on bed' AND because it's a private residence 'you can ask but Hilton is not interested in helping unit owners that are not in the rental program' when I asked if he couldn't supply a second sheet if Hilton would. This really made the stay uncomfortable as my wife refused to sleep in the bed without a second sheet and didn't want to sleep in direct contact with comforter (bed bugs)!

We can offer you daily maid service for $39 per day if that's important to you. If room billing is important to you we recommend you book with H*lton and be prepared to pay premium prices. Its that simple.

PRIVATE RESIDENCE BS, YOU THINK YOU ARE SAVING MONEY BUT YOU DO NOT, BECAUSE BY THE TIME YOU PAY FOR THE THINGS NOT INCLUDED, YOU END PAYING THE SAME AMOUNT IF YOU BOOKED A ROOM WITH THE HOTEL. THIS IS FOR THE OWNER: THE ROOM IS FILTHY. THEY DON T VACUUM. I WALKED BAREFOOT ON THE CARPET AND I PICKED ALL OF THE HAIR OF THE PREVIOUS CUSTOMER UNDER MY FEET. THE GLASS AND RAIL OUTSIDE THE VERANDA NEED ATTENTION. MY WIFE DUSTED THE ROOM WHILE WE WERE THERE.

This is the most inaccurate review we've ever received. The price you pay for the booking is the final price and it is 40% cheaper than the price you pay when booking the identical H*lton managed unit of the same category. If you really had encountered the housekeeping issues you mentioned, why didn't you call us (we're in the building everyday between 10am - 3pm). The balconies are cleaned every month by the H*lton building staff because the belong to the building not the unit owner. We do however clean them also every week.

Not a good vacation stay

Lots of miss understanding and it cost me $1800.00 for a terrible stay. Stay away from private rooms. You will not get the service of a Hilton. Which I moved rooms and still got bad service from Hilton staffing.

best. choice. ever. look no further.

Wow. Perfect. Excellent. From the gorgeous building & amenities, to the accommodating staff, & to the wonderful host, Mike, there wasn’t a flaw to be found. Everything went wonderfully. The room was super spacious & the bed was comfortable. Good ocean view. Huge bathtub, walk in shower. We did not want to leave!! A+++. I wish every vacation experience would be like this one.

Great Hotel & Location - Private Residence not so

Pros: Location and hotel amenities
Cons: People should know the limitations of reserving a private residence not managed by the hotel.
Location: Location is great to restaurants along the strip and right at the beach.
The Fort Lauderdale Beach Hilton is a great hotel with a wonderful location. The hotel can be very crowded and the entrance can be rather overwhelming at times. The bad part is the renting of a private residence room at the hotel through the owner or a property management instead of directly through Hilton reservations. This is the second time I have reserved a private residence at the Hilton through the individual owners for my mother. Each time was a different owner, but both times have resulted in a very bad experience. The hotel takes NO responsibility for the guest room except for daily housekeeping service, and even that service is extremely limited. This most recent experience with the guest room -- safe totally not working (owner acknowledged but really did not care); water leaking in the bathroom faucet; limited glasses - good for an alcohol drink but not for the bathroom use; clock with rotting batteries and was unplugged when arrived with no instructions (owner had no idea how to set time); telephone cord too short to even reach the bed or desk - totally inconvenient. Hilton staff would not fix or correct any problems since the room was a private residence.
