The Parrot Nest is one of the Old-Sanibel cottages located on the quiet East End of the island. Since 1955, our charming cottages have been welcoming visitors and until the early 1960's they were brought to our shores from the mainland by ferryboat.
Our cottages are newly renovated in a coastal decor offering you epic comfort, relaxation in a beautiful room. We are within walking distance to the historic Sanibel Lighthouse and fishing pier, beautiful shelling beaches, shopping and restaurants.
If you like, use our complimentary bikes and explore miles of paths covering the island and leading to wildlife refuges, kayaking spots, secluded beaches, and meandering past more eateries, shops, and galleries. The Lovebirds cottage is our largest cottage featuring a king bed and a daybed ( twin ), large outdoor private patio with lounge chairs, outdoor table and chairs for epic relaxation!

Great little place!
We enjoyed our visit. Clean, light, inviting, and conveniently located. Could use a few more kitchen utencils. We love to cook...and felt a little limited in preparing meals! Sanibel Island is such a magical place...We will always return...again and again!

We loved the location! The wagons, beach chairs and bikes were much appreciated. We used them daily. The only things we needed were a blow dryer and some shelves in the bathroom around the sink and in the shower.

Stayed here for our 25th anniversary. The location is absolutely perfect! The unit is clean and updated. Full kitchen and outdoor gas grill. Bring your own dish detergent and you can use a soap holder in the shower. Other than that absolute perfection 😁

Warm Sanibel welcome
Parrot's Nest was a wonderful base from Which to explore Sanibel. It was only a10 to 15 minute walk to the gulf side beach. Our unit was spacious, well equipped,and tastefully decorated. With a comfortable bed. What more could you ask for??? We loved it

A cute little cabin island cottage.
Nice little property. The communal bikes and proximity to the beach were what hooked me. It’s not fancy. They lean into the fact that’s it’s dated and simple. I loved it. I’d dare say it’s kitschy. If you want the most modern amenities or to be where action is it’s probably not right for you. If you want a quiet experience away from the crowds it’s absolutely lovely. Cell service was spotty for me and the shared unsecured network was slow to the point of not working at at times. Just a heads up if you need to work remotely or need constant internet access. We loved it! We’ll be back.
