I thought the receptionist was a little rude. She wanted my credit card for additional charges because we booked the hotel through Expedia. I did not understand and she wasn’t very forthcoming or in a nice attitude to explain why but it all had to due with booking through Expedia which confused me more because we used Travelocity. We had a room on the second floor in the back which didn’t seem like a problem until we realized there was no elevator. We asked for another room downstairs but again because we booked through Travelocity that’s all she could give us. She was not a friendly person. The room itself was great and very accommodating and we did enjoy that part of our stay. The biggest difficulty was getting up and down the stairs and the whole hotel was hot and not air conditioned well.

We apologize for any perceived rudeness on our part. We don't have enough information to determine when you stayed with us, but it must have been on a busy weekend when we didn't have enough downstairs vacancies. On your next vist with us, please request a first floor room on your reservation. Asking for your personal credit card is standard procedure on a third party reservation. Any damage to the room (smoking, theft, etc.) cannot be charged to the third party's card; therefore we request the guest's card.

Breakfast wasn't great compared to other places we have stayed. Bathtub was peeling. Smelled a little musty. Ice machines needed cleaned and serviced. AC was extremely loud and didn't work that great. Coffe was horrible. Service was good. Had an indoor pool and hot tub. No bugs. Easy check in.

Never checked in and was charged for two days. Travelocity saw i made other reservations, i should not be charged for this.

disappointed

Pros: It was clean enough. Staff was friendly. Location good for getting on and off hwy 10.
Cons: Fans that provide solid white noise AND cool the room. need to upgrade your Wifi. Bathrooms could use updating, better lights. Extra blankets.
Location: One hour drive to Alamo/ Riverwalk 30 minutes to Bandera 30 minutes to Fredericksburg, Luckenbach. James Avery is 10 minutes away.
We intended to stay for one week but checked out early. We chose this hotel due to location and amenities. The website advertised free high speed internet. Half of our stay we had no internet and the desk clerk was unable to do anything to reboot the internet. The room containing the router was locked and the person with the key would not come in. Our daughter had home work to do for college and my brother in law had work to do for his job. The fan in the room didn't work the first night. That it fixed promptly,but the fan was not the kind that could be left on continuously if you also wanted the AC on. So our choice was to have the noise blocking fan and a stuffy room or a cool room with a fan that ran intermittently. We were on the first floor and there was a family above us with kids who jumped a lot. Our TV did not work. When we called the desk we were told to do our own problem solving (Sunday eve March 12). On Tuesday morning they had a person come to check the tv. It was a problem with the outlet. The king bed was very comfortable. The pull out sofa was not. And it was covered in crunchy plastic that was noisy and hot. We had no light in the entrance to the too . The "adjustable shower head" would not move so we only had one spray choice. The shower curtain did not stay in place. The lighting over the bathroom sink was very dim. We asked for an extra blanket for sofa bed,none were available. Luckily we had two in our car.

Cons: The night manager was unfriendly, gruff and hard to understand. Did not make me feel good about staying there.
Good experience, overall. The room was clean and inviting. Breakfast was typical.
