The hotel isn’t in the greatest area, I was a little concerned for items in my car. However, The location was very convenient. When I walked in there was an extremely offensive air freshener smell. My sinuses couldn’t handle it. It was like something I would imagine a brothel in Amsterdam would smell like. Service was nice, she asked me if I was an honors member, and I said maybe. The phone range, she handed me my key and never took my info…. We were tired so I just went to my room. As I got in my room… it was noticeable musty. I turned the AC on, it was set to 76…. It’s summer in NY. When I turned it on, the AC unit began to rattle extremely fast. That loud noise was aweful. The unit was cracked a bit… I propped my shoe against it to help stop the noise. I went downstairs to talk to the desk lady and there was no one at the desk. I waited a few minutes and decided to give up. After returning to the room and getting ready to lay down, I noticed that my sheets were stained on my bed. My 11 year old son had already dozed off so I slept on a towel. I know this all sounds terrible, and it wasn’t the end of the world, but for a room that costs almost $300, I would not have paid that.

The staff is friendly. They offer a breakfast buffet which is convenient. I didn’t have any issues parking. It’s tucked away from the main street so it’s pretty quiet. The room was nicely updated. I’d stay at this location again.

Where do i begin? It was supposed to be a fun filled weekend for my son who was about to be 13 and absolutely loves to swim. The pool was CLOSED but it states open on website and also on the Travelocity app; breakfast for my children was: stale bagels but the apple juice was a hit for them. Oh and they ran out of disposable plates and cream cheese and the bagle seemed to have been tossed with other bagels because it tasted like onions and my daughter has food allergies for this. So i will never stay at this location again nor recommend it to anyone. I know what to expect from the Hampton and that was sub par service at best! They take that sign on the building for granted and that is a problem for me because i had a choice and i chose them and was very disappointed.
