Communication and Empathy in an Unprecedented Situation
My family actually did NOT stay in this cabin as intended. The host had been in contact with us since our reservation, answering my questions promptly and even agreeing to a slightly earlier check-in so our little ones could get a good nap. However, during the cleaning/inspection, an issue totally out of their control arose that would have ruined our experience and needed addressed right away at the expense of them not being able to honor our reservation.
While some hosts might have clicked "cancel" and left us at the mercy of VRBO customer service, Mogen took steps above and beyond with so much empathy, to make sure our worry was minimized and we had the smoothest possible process to cancel and rebook our new emergency accommodations. Thanks in part to her help, we ended up unpacking at another cabin with all the same amenities within a couple of hours. I definitely wasted some time on hold with VRBO on the top of the SkyPark, but I don't even want to think about how much worse that would have been without her advocacy and quick communication.
In summary, this place drew me in as a perfect place for young families, and this is the host you want to be calling if things go unexpectedly wrong for you and your young family!
