Totally impressed. Love the wood and homey feel. The fireplace added a nice touch. The only thing we had an issue with is the coffee maker took forever to make coffee.

Visit to Gettysburg

Pros: Quite, clean, friendly,
The staff and lodges were excellent. Hated to leave. We will be staying here anytime we are in the area from now on.

Nice but...

Issues checking in, not as clean as it could have been, the sliding door to the deck barely opened. To top it off there was no water on the last morning. So no shower or coffee! So we had to cut our visit short and head home. The worst part of that ordeal was no apology was offered, only "we had a pump blow in the night". They didn't offer any kind of credit towards another visit, disappointing.

Loved the lodges

Spent two nights with my family. We are too big for a traditional hotel room so the lieutenant lodge was perfect. Beautiful high ceilings, amazing slate shower, small kitchen area with island and seating and even a little private deck. About 10 minutes from the Gettysburg battlefield and well worth the drive. Housekeeping wasn't perfect. There was a rubber band from someone's previous occupancy on our bathroom floor, and the towels that were left for our second day were left on top of the toilet (yuck!). Some of the pillows were too small and squishy for our liking as well. However All the sheets and towels were spotless as was the kitchen however so it was not a huge issue. Beds were comfortable and we found ourselves almost wishing it was colder so we could use the fireplace! We would definitely stay at the Lodges again. And we have already recommended it to friends.
