Wanted something different than the usual big chain stay it was a quick stay just an overnight the place was clean had a rustic feel with the knotty pine walls a newly renovated look the beds were very comfortable the room key was an actual key (😎) while on my way I received a courtesy call asking if I was going to make it by closing 10pm I’m thankful for that (Thank you ladies) because we had some unexpected road construction that delayed our arrival time by 1 hour lastly it was a beautiful Colorado morning when we awoke and found that our choice to stay there was only a half mile from my meeting place recommend the western star 👍👍👍👍 from me and my son

Good to sleep.

Didn't use pool or hot tub although were operating. Parking was limited due to 2-3 campers parked in back, not motel guests. Think new management trying to make it better.

Hi Bill. I think you’ve made a mistake. This does not sound like our motel. We appreciate any feedback, but we don’t have a pool or hot tub, nor do we accommodate campers.

Misc thoughts

Pros: Clean, friendly staff.
Cons: Boxes of kleenex in the room; longer shower curtain; hooks in bathroom for towels, robes; door chain for added security; bars of soap very small.
Location: Spent a morning at Rifle Falls, the main reason for going there. Enjoyed seeing some of the shops downtown, eating at the Whistle Pig.
It was difficult finding the motel. The address we had was 101 Ray Ave; the lady at the motel told us to take Hwy 6 West and they were off the frontage road. Ray Road was to the side. Older motel, recently painted, new mattresses (comfortable), clean. Desk manager, Karen, was very nice and helpful. as was the maintenance man. Rooms would be a bit small for more than 2 people.

Great Hotel

We had a great time at this hotel. They are all friendly and make you feel like your at home. Very pet friendly. Anytime This will be the hotel we will use every time in we are Rifle. This is our favorite hotel of all time.
