The shower had 3 inches of standing water in the bottom, coffee pot provided but only had tea bags, someone else’s clothes were still in the drawers.

Hmm. I wonder if you told the staff? We would have sent maintenance to fix a clogged drain. For your coffee missing please let staff know we would gladly provide you with some if housekeeping missed it!

The only redeeming factor for this location was that the facility was clean. We had to check in at the bar (which was NOT neat and tidy). Our room opened directly onto the patio where live entertainment was playing and customers were at tables for the bar and restaurant; it didn’t lend a sense of security at all. They had a swamp cooler for air conditioning, which was poor. They didn’t have an ice machine that we could find, they didn’t provide shampoo ( but instead two small packets of conditioner!), the bathroom was extremely outdated and not updated at all, and the WiFi was spotty. No one was available in the morning for checkout either-just drop your key off in a drop box. Would NOT recommend this property to any one.

Thanks for the review. You did not check in at a bar but instead at a counter that we have turned into a check in desk. Even if there was not live music people would have still been on the patio to eat at the restaurant. Pretty much every hotel/lodge up here does not have a/c. We just invested into the evaporative coolers to keep the rooms cooler. The ice machine is inside the main building had you bothered asking anyone would have gladly provided ice for you. We apologize for the two conditioners. There should have been a shampoo and conditioner. Yet again had you asked or said something anyone would have been glad to help you, No one is available in the mornings because we are extremely short staffed. There is a employee/housing crisis up here. If we had more staff we would have someone downstairs at the front desk in the mornings. We provide a key drop box for the keys for this reason. Someone is always down by 9 a.m. check out is at 10. Thanks again for the review and for staying with us.

My entire family had such a great time staying at Grand View Mountain Lodge. The views were exceptional along with the attentiveness of the owners of the lodge. We felt like family and just adored the lodge and the friendliness of Grand Lake, Co. We hope to make this an annual trip for our family. Thanks again!

We stayed overnight on a Saturday to go hiking in RMNP nearby this past weekend. We were in Room 5 on the second floor. They had just opened after renovating this cute little hotel. I was super impressed with the service and the décor and just how homey this place felt. I would definitely recommend staying here and I will definitely return. We paid double their price to stay in a much less inviting place the previous night in Estes Park. This is the cabin-like rustic yet comfy place I like. It may not be for everyone, but I enjoyed it. The bathroom was tiny. Similar to being on a cruise ship. But we were here such a short time, it didn’t matter. The rooms were clean and we really enjoyed the little patio with the table and chairs. -Great views -Close/walking distance to the lake -Comfy bed -Fire pit
