The place was horrible, dirty, outdated. Our check in was supposed to be at 4:00 we got there at 6:00 and they didn’t have a room clean and ready for us. We had to wait 30 more minutes. It looked nothing like the pictures. They said they had a poolside bar and we got there and was told they had no bar. Never offered a discount or anything! Even after I complained about everything. Do not ever stay here!!! 😡

we were placed in a room so far from the elevator, NO PEPSI products, the on site restaurant was closed. Had to find a place to eat. Place is pretty old isn't it? We were really impressed with the shuttle service to the airport and the friendliness of the staff. We were able to leave our car there while we went on vacation.

I do apologize for the restaurant being closed, due to covid we are still short staffed and want to be able to provide the best service possible. I would like to share that we are going to be starting renovations in the fourth quarter of 2021. We will no longer be The Plaza Hotel as we are remodeling to a Sheraton by Marriott. We hope that you would give us another chance in the future, it would be a pleasure to welcome you back to our new and improved hotel.

We stayed here 2years ago and everything was great. This year not so much. The staff & service ( checking in / out) was great ! The rooms were a little disappointing this time around. First of all. I was supposed to have adjoining rooms, ( I booked them almost 3 mos in advance). When I checked in , I found out that we had rooms across the hall from each other. When I inquired, was told sorry they were booked and couldn’t accommodate me. In one room the air was not working at all. It was 80 degrees and humid outside. In the other room the shower head wasn’t working well and it sprayed water all over the ceiling and the floor got soaked. Even with the shower curtain closed and the tub filled 1/4 way up with water, while taking a shower even with the plug undone. We usually go to GR at least once a year, and I love the location. However, next time I think we will try some place else.

I didn’t like anything about this property. Stains on the floor, mattresses caved into the middle, chair to the desk was extremely torn up, fan in the bathroom had extremely loud screech and the room had leftover cigarette smoke smell. It was just really bad.

I didn't like the fact that I was charged $50 for "incidentals" as a hold on my debit card without being told. I heard the desk clerk telling another guest that when I was walking through the lobby later in the day. I checked my account and saw I had a $50 hold in my account. I'm not okay with that. Had it been communicated to me ahead of time, I wouldnt be upset.

It was a pleasant stay. Worth what I paid. Overall a nice quiet stay. Needs improvements. Mattresses were definitely worn. The in room refrigerator was old and in need of defrosting. The exterior looked like it came out of someone's garage, scratched and rusty. The desk chair's seat was so worn that the faux leather was completely worn through to the backing fabric on the entire seat. Very noisy bathroom fan. Needs much better safety lighting in the parking lot to the side door "H".
