Tioga Trails Lakefront Cabin

Enjoy unparalleled access to the woods and water in a classic cabin with a beachy vibe. This rustic-modern 2+ bedroom cabin has southern views, ultimate privacy, excellent swimming, and some of the best MTB trails in the Midwest just across the road. Whether your idea of relaxing is an all-day paddling adventure or panoramic views and good book, this cozy retreat is the perfect hideout for getting away from it all. 10% of our profits go to support the trails at Tioga Recreation Area.

CABIN
This is a quintessential Minnesota getaway with whitewashed wood floors and pine walls. It's outfitted with all the modern comforts, but still has that vintage cabin charm. The large windows have exceptional lake views and let in natural light all day long. The kitchen is fully stocked. Dining space seats 4. There are two bedrooms in the main cabin and a sleeper sofa in the boathouse. Each bedroom has a queen bed and plenty of spare blankets. Although the cabin is seasonal, it's heated and stays cozy through November.

BOATHOUSE
The boathouse is set up as a lounge space and includes a fridge and bar cart so you can spend the day down by the water.

PROPERTY
The property is very quiet and private. It's tucked away on a dead-end road with forest along the entire north side (home to the Tioga MTB trails). The nearest trail access is just a minute ride from your doorstep. South facing views from the elevated property look out onto Pokegama's largest bay and you can catch sunrises and sunsets from the shoreline. Other outdoor amenities include firepits near the patio and at the lake, Adirondacks, a gas grill, driveway to the lake for unloading boats, and secure storage for gear.

LAKEFRONT
There is a short flight of stairs down to the lake as well as a driveway so it's easy to unload your lake gear. We have a dock, Adirondacks, and a firepit along the lakeshore. The boathouse has a bed, desk, chairs, and a mini-fridge. The lake is clear and clean with a sandy shoreline and with views that stretch for miles.

Perfect bike and lake retreat
This cabins location is unbeatable. Amazing biking trails and lake access all without having to drive from the cabin. The cabin was everything that our family needed. Clean, comfortable eith the added bonus of kayaks and the use of the boat house. It felt like everything a quintessential Minnesota get-away should be. Our family cant wait to go back.

Fantastic Cabin in Northern MN
We had a fabulous time! The setting is absolutely perfect - everything you would want in a north woods cabin! The screened patio was a great place to eat, drink, and the enjoy the amazing view of Lake Pokegama! We plan on booking again!

Weekend getaway
My husband and I were looking for a quiet weekend away to relax and unplug. This cabin was very quaint and exactly what we needed. While it rained all weekend, we were not able to fully enjoy all the amenities like kayaking or access the hiking trails. But we did have bonfires by the lake. Overall, would recommend this property if you are looking for a quiet retreat!

Cozy Lake Cabin
Property sits high up on Pokegama Lake providing great views of the lake and passing soaring eagles. Even though neighboring lots are near, it is quite private as neighbors were seldom or never seen. Our dogs loved the area to play and really loved chasings frog on the beach. The cabin is older and does have it's charms such as small bedrooms, bathroom and resident ants, but thankfully one of our teenage sons moved into the boat house and loved it. Porch area was great for morning coffee and evening drinks. Communication with owner was prompt and thorough.

The property was very private considering it's on Pokegama. Our dog loved it. It's an older cabin with small bedrooms, but the property, beach and boat house were great for us.

Thoughtfully designed, cozy hideout
This cabin takes full advantage of wide lake views. The furnishings are edited and appropriate for the space. We loved the comfy furniture and beds. Kitchen and bath are very small but right for the space and you have all you need. Due to unseasonably cold/snowy weather we didn't get to take advantage of fire pits or boat house. Owners were very responsive and helpful.

Fall Family Getaway
Great base camp for our small group of bird hunters which included 3 adults and 2 kids. The main cabin fit us all just fine and we didn't utilize the boathouse, however it looked like a nice addition for a summer time stay. Outdoor temps got below 30 degrees at night and we got about 4 inches of snow one day - the big heater kept the cabin warm and comfortable the entire time. We cooked meals with our harvest each night and the kitchen was not overstocked with tools and utensils, but it had all the right ones, including decent knives and a knife sharpener - an important oversight at most rental places in my opinion as someone who likes to cook when at the cabin. Communication from the owner was always timely and great. We highly recommend.
