Cabin at Lake Lanier

Lovely lake cabin for rent. This vintage mountain cabin is one of the original structures built at Lake Lanier in the 1920's. It comes completely furnished , and has a covered front and back porch. The cabin sits across from Lake Lanier, and has a dedicated boat slip and dock. We have several kayaks and a Sea Cycle for use by our guests to explore this incredible private lake that boasts 5-miles of shoreline. The cabin is only minutes from Tryon, NC and a short 7-minute drive to historic Landrum, SC. There are numerous trails in the area, including the Blue Wall Preserve.

Nice place to stay
Our stay here was fairly short but overall we enjoyed the property. The home was clean and the information about accessing the boats was clear. Communication was ok. We sent two messages, one via VRBO and the other via text. We never received a response to the VRBO message but got a very quick response to the text. Some reviewers said the kitchen was fully stocked, but we didn't find this to be the case. Not even salt and pepper were there. Not a significant issue, but based on the reviews we were surprised. I did have two complaints. The water was so hot that we couldn't take a comfortable shower. We could stand the hot, but it was uncomfortably hot. I don't think the shower valve is connected correctly. The tub also was very slow to drain. We contacted them about this but told them not to rush over since we were leaving the next morning I don't know if they looked at it after we left. The lake is relatively small and it was very quite. The two times we went out we didn't meet more than a few other people.

Landrum Lake House
The house was clean, comfortable and beautifully furnished. It's in a gorgeous location just across the street from Lake Lanier. We enjoyed the sea cycle, hiking' and drinking coffee on the back porch. Our hosts were very helpful and welcoming and responded quickly to our texts. We hope to go back!

We WILL Be BACK!
It's the little things that matter...The owners were very responsive to our messages. Everything in the description was exact, but there was so much more that wasn't in the description that made this one of the greatest experiences we have ever had! There are great notes and instructions on everything, from the TV to the grill, seacycle, boathouse, kayaks, fire pit, etc. If you are an angler, all you may need is live bait if you prefer and your favorite hooks because rods and tackle are provided as well as plenty of lifejackets in all sizes. The cabin was extremely clean and my wife and I loved the inspirational sayings, scriptures, and quotes throughout. The neighbors were all friendly and we had great conversations on the lake with other couples and fishermen. Plenty of linens, soap, incidentals, etc. - they even had Band-Aids in the bathroom pantry! It was just a great overall experience, and when we arrived, we had the best cinnamon roll and blueberry muffin waiting for us! We went for my wife's birthday and will definitely be back. The owner even recommended an excellent restaurant in town for us, and we went shopping in Landrum and purchased some items in the many antique stores and I recommend the vendor hall (consider it an indoor antique flea market) on the main street. I will definitely recommend this cabin to others that I know and plan to return a minimum of every spring and will return late fall. I can't say enough about how thoughtful and well stocked with amenities this cabin was.

Beautiful setting for a restful get away
This was a nice little cabin with a wonderful front and back porch for sitting and relaxing. We had everything we needed to enjoy a quiet weekend away from the hustle of work. The hosts were very responsive and kind. While it was too cold to get out on the lake, we did enjoy walking down and feeding the fish. We will definitely visit again.
