4/5 Good

Outstanding property, little better cleaning, organization and upkeep would be appreciated.
This is a great property for multiple families as it has three levels with bathrooms and sleeping areas on each level. The yard is spacious and the location on the lake is wonderful. The owners could improve its guest experience by insuring towels are in each bathroom, kitchen utensils and general home cleanliness are completed, and the watersports storage shed remove broken dingy equipment and replace with a few good water toys. The neighbors are friendly, a bike trail and friendly Hackensack are nearby.

Great view
First timers to this part of Minnesota. It was very nice. Loved the location. Great view of the lake. Brought our own boat and did alot of fishing on Birch Lake. My husband loved it. Good pan fishing lake. The house was very roomy for all of us. Loved the 3 bathrooms. Loved having the sliding doors open facing the lake. Evenings listening to the loons from the deck.

Fun cabin get away.
We had a great time on our vacation. The good: town surrounding area, cabin, deck, dock and beach area, lake, yard, private, WiFi, The other: Just the groups thoughts One coffee mug? Cleanliness, it was clean but just surface clean. Bedding wasn’t best, pillows flat, we brought our own. Had slight smell until we turned on humidifier then it went away. Could use more water toys. One tube And paddle boat in rough shape. Tv only had 3 channels but we weren’t here to watch tv. No wood for fire. Overall we were happy had a great time. Would come back. Just wanted to give people heads up. New to vrbo was maybe all of this was normal wear and tear.

3/5 Okay

Pro’s and Con’s
Pros: Great location, beautiful lot, lakeshore and dock, nice fire pit area and the pontoon rental for the week was fabulous. Three full bathrooms and great Cabin layout. Loved the big windows- great view of the lake. Cons: Disappointed in the cleanliness of cabin. Cobwebs all over. Needs a really good deep clean inside. Lacks many kitchen supplies. What is supplied is very cheap, broken, dirty. We had to go buy a cookie sheet to cook on. Knives had broken tips and were dull. We had 1/4 of a roll of paper towel left for us. No hand soap in bathrooms. It states towels are provided, but I would recommend bringing your own. The bath/hand towels had holes in them along with many stains. The bed pillows, again bring your own. They were flat and stained. Closet doors were off the tracks. Backsplash in bathroom was ripped away from the wall. The basement had a musty smell from moisture. We ran the dehumidifier which helped a little. I hate to rant on but, reviews are important. People need to know what their signing up for. The cabin is super cute with a lot of potential. Lake lot and yard are beautiful. It just needs a little work and a deep clean. For $500 you could buy a variety of kitchen equipment that is decent. We would definitely go back if improvements were made.
