Best hotel I've ever stayed at?

Pros: Everything.
Cons: The bed had some minor issues, but was quite comfortable and got the job done.
Location: Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple, the Old Quarter, the Thang Long Water Puppet Theatre, Hanoi Opera House, Vietnamese Women's Museum, Hoa Lo Prison...
I've stayed at a lot of really nice, fancy hotels, but this might be the best ever. It was DEFINITELY the best I've ever stayed at for the cost. This hotel would cost 3-4 times as much in New York City. The service is stellar, the hotel itself is incredibly gorgeous, and the location is perfect. The food was great. The pool was great. Simply a tremendous, historic hotel.

luxury in Hanoi

This is easily one of the most luxurious and exquisite hotels we have ever stayed in. The staff has been trained to such a professional level that it's almost shocking to experience this level of personal and generous service. The facilities are beautiful (1920's colonial French style) and there is no detail that hasn't been considered and executed to perfection. If this hotel were in Washington, D.C. Or NYC it would easily cost $1000/nigh. This is the standard 5-star hotels should be measured against. Loved it!!!
