Very disappointed. Old hotel that billed itself as being much nicer than it is. The room was clean, but everything from the elevator to the towels were very worn. Also, even though hotel was basically empty, when I tried to check in at 2:30 they wouldn't let me without me paying them an extra $30. Said I had to wait 30 minutes. The girl at the counter even said, "our manager has told us he doesn't care if it's 5 minutes before 3, charge them $30." I have never had that happen in my life. I would never stay here again under any condition.

Decent

Pros: The staff were friendly honest sweet and accommodating. And the room looked as though it had some work done to make it better.
Cons: Landscaping, lobby mildew smell, cracked chipped furniture and stained rugs.
Location: There was a place called Margaritas and the Guac and grilled corn was AWESOME! And it was very convenient to everywhere I needed to go.
I was actually grateful to be able to find a hotel quickly for what I needed, last minute. But as I suggested in the survey. I wish that travelocity would communicate with the properties that they do business with, just to be sure of the condition of the hotel they are hosting. Although the staff was completely honest about the changes going on in the hotel it was displeasing to walk-in to a pretty awful mildew smell, pretty unkempt landscape, stained rugs in the hallways and chipped furniture. Again, because of how friendly honest and sweet and accommodating the staff were, I chose to stay. And the room was decent, this is why I stayed because being that the room was decent it made me believe that what the desk attendant explained about change was actually consistent. It wasn't a horrible stay, but I did wish that I had a heads up of what I was walking up on, because it was a but embarrassing having to explain to guests about smell when they walk in. The young lady did explain that she believes the smell has something to do with the air having been turned back on after having been turned off for some time. But I am not sure, that the mildew smell was the cause of that, but I wouldn't know. The young lady did state they were in the midst of transition, and restoring the place as it was just bought by her company whom she is employed and she says they are in the midst of changing from a Ramada to a Sheraton. Overall, everything was ok. I probably would wait until renovations a

Close to the Civic center

Hotel is fine for a quick stay. Bed was comfortable and room had fridge and micro. The attached restaurant had slow service but the food was good. The complimentary breakfast was pretty poor. Recommend getting breakfast elsewhere. Room heater/AC cycled on and off loudly all night. You could not set it for constant air which makes for nice white noise in cancelling out other hotel noises.

Very good, Easy to find

Pros: Beds are very comfortable staff is friendly.
Cons: Breakfast was sad. No hot severed items.
Location: Location is right off highway and very easy to find.
Hotel is short drive from airport. Very easy to find and in great location. I was not impressed with breakfast as it is cold - bagels, cereal, frozen waffles. Room had broken shower head and toilet handle which was fixed right away.

Good Location

Pros: What I liked best about the hotel was the location.
Cons: This hotel could be improved by adding a free breakfast to its amenity list.
Location: Dinosaur State Park and the Samuel Clemens Museum is with in a short (15 minutes) driving distance.
The East Hartford Ramada was clean and in a good location. It was near several good restaurants and shops.

Good value

This hotel is nice but shows signs of aging. However, It is clean and nicely decorated and all the staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast area is apparently going to be renovated. However, they still serve a nice complimentary breakfast. This hotel is easy to access off the highway. I was happy with my visit.
