We loved Casa 1932!!
Amazing Havana Experience!!!! Totally safe and secure, Casa 1932 is situated right off the Malecon (ocean wall) in an authentic Havana neighborhood with easy access to Old Havana to the east (15 min walk) or Verdado to the west (20 min walk.) We loved long strolls thru the “real” Havana streets.
Casa 1932 was a magical experience, a great way to frame our visit to Havana. Our host Luis painstakingly keeps his ancestral home decorated authentically in the art nouveau fashion for which it was built. Beautifully tiled floors, antique mirrors and stained glass reflect the style of the preserved architectural treasures found in this city frozen in time. Standing anywhere in this meticulously decorated casa particular made us feel like we’d fallen back decades in time to the Havana of 1930’s, 40’s and 50’s.
Luis and his family made us feel like one of their own with a warm welcome and spot on tips. He helped us navigate the city and find the best cultural experiences. While helpful to book us at excellent restaurants and shows w transport arranged, Luis also had great tips guiding us to explore the city on our own.
Our room was immaculate w/ bottled water provided daily in our rooms small refrigerator with hot water kettle for teas.
Breakfast was a lovely assortment of local fruits and eggs any style, made to order.
Laundry service and dinner provided if desired.
If you’re going to Havana you’ll have a great stay with Luis at Casa 1932.
