It appeared that they had a wonderful breakfast buffet. We did not get to enjoy it only because we arrived late the night before and had a late dinner (which was wonderful) so we were not hungry at breakfast. Our room had a lovely view, but could do with some updating (while keeping with the age and history of the building). The bathroom really needs updating. The bathroom door was dirty and the floor tiles had chipped / dirty grout in addition to a dripping shower head. Not very inviting. But - the property overall is beautiful, the staff were extremely kind and helpful, and the food was delicious! We would definitely stay here again, but it would be nice if the rooms and bathrooms were spiffed up a bit.

Very nice, high-end hotel right on the water

Pros: Everything
Location: Set a ways off from Helenburgh, it is a quiet location. Not much to walk to nearby, but plenty of good paths to walk through the suburban countryside
Extraordinarily helpful and friendly staff - check-in, breakfast, dinner, and check-out. Excellent restaurant - both for the Full Scottish Breakfast and for a wonderful venison and haggis dinner.
